I dont understand why JCT thinks any load is more important than any drivers life. Maybe its me but thats what it looks like in some posts

I think many people have the misconception that JCT cares more about the load then the driver. What JCT means is if you can't get the load there on time let them know up front because they will repower a load 2 or 3 times to get it there on time.

Let me straighten out something and make it real clear. EVERY TRUCKING COMPANY on earth cares more about the load then the driver bottomline. If you think your more important then the load at your company then go and deliver 2 or 3 loads late next week come up with some great excuse about being sick out of hours and see how long you keep your job. Face it people they are in the business of moving freight not giving you a job!

If you pick up a load that doesn't have enough time on it they will repower it or reschedule it to get it there. If your negligence is the reason you should get blamed for the late delivery that's the way the real world works. Communication is the key to getting a hot load there on time not how fast you drive, you know before you drive the first mile if you can get it there or not on time. To many drivers don't do their homework and accept a load then freak when they realize they can't stop every 100 miles for a 30 minute break outside their normal required break. To many drivers can't keep the left door closed.

Entirely true! I had a zealous co driver that was very quick to jump on a load (nothing wrong with that kind of initiative) but we dodged the bullet on 3 service failures over a short period of time. I had to talk to him because we were on a team and it could have affected my record too..

You have to look at the route, & your logbook and do the math!

Sorry to hear what happened to you but I believe there is more to the story that you haven't mentioned. I have several drivers that had the same problems with truck and they are now in a casadia and prostars. Never fired, all they had to do was tell john christner that they are having trouble with the truck. Either its the way you approached john or there is something else. They can't just fire you cuz of a dirty truck. If they really did then I'm assuming you can sue them and I'm sure they aren't that stupid to just fire you cuz of that. They just sometimes don't tell you the reason you get let go just like those people in orientation few weeks ago.

I'm giving you the whole story. I have been talking with a couple of attorney's. My conversation with Mr. Christner went basically that I thought it was unfair to give the new trucks to the new drivers when some of us were having real issues with our trucks. He told me he had sold trucks for less issues than mine, I told him I didn't have that option, but I was happy at the company. He told me he didn't control that anymore and I thanked him for his time and left. Total conversation, less than 5 minutes. Was told I probably stepped on someone named Shannon's toes by going to Mr Christner? No service failures, even for weather, no tickets, no failed DOT's, no wrecks - you tell me

Well I'm going to put my 2 Cents in , NEVER is it a good idea to buy ANYTHING from the person you work for on credit. You guys that go out and l/p these trucks gotta have a screw or 2 loose. Why do you think they have these programs? Is it so they can sell trucks to people that can't save enough to make a down payment? or is it because they want to give a 150000.00 truck to somebody that doesn't have enough credit to finance a bicycle? OR do you think maybe they do it because it makes the company money? My guess is it's the latter

Are you CRAZY? $553/ Week? lets see 52 weeks in a yr times 553 equals $ 28,756.00 divide by 12 months 2396.33/month average payment for a nearly worn out truck with 500,000 miles on it? WOW!! I guess the "cliche" is right "there's a sucker born everyday" LOLOLOL.
