WEll lets hear the whole story not just a tidbit, im sure there is more to it than whats said here. ask on the jct thread if anyone knows what happened to try and get more of this,, so far everyone there seems satisfied, but then again not every company is a perfect match for different drivers.

Any lease/purchse:biggrin_25510: is a glorified co driver. They want you to think you are an O/O, but, pardner, you ain't. Can you take time off whenever you want? Turn down loads? Make changes to "your" truck? Fuel where you want? Not purchase the maintainence agreement? Refuse the Q-comm? No, no, no, no, no and no. L/P only benefits the company.:biggrin_25525:

I have a truck that i had bought, after i wrecked, i had (after 30 yrs and many miles) and had a woman drive it the first year, when i was able to drive again i got back to it,and she went into a company truck. after 3 months she couldn't hang as a company driver,so she took time off and helped her grand kid's
She called me every week to see if i bought another truck ,and that is when i called J.C.T. they told me i could lease my truck on (with rate of .90 cpm and with a f.s.c..$1.49 cpm) i explaned what i wanted to do ,and i was told i could L/P a truck from them and put my driver in it,( i also told them i wanted to pay my other truck-off first b-4 i leased to them,no problem) I met her in supula,ok and sat thru everything and picked out a '07 w-900 (wth 490,000mi..was a team truck) pmt $553 per week, plus a$105 per week side note ,(i figured it was better than $10-20,000 dn on a new truck with 6-7yr bank finance),she took off and didn't come back home for 11 weeks, they loved her..we were there for 9mos,and they never had a problem with her ,and i was never behind on a pmt..even when the rate went from $1.49pm with fsc to $1.02..i paid her .35cpm and had to pay her from my other truck,it worked good till fuel droped.. About 2mos ago they tried to sell her a new T-660 and she said no,that she drove for me and i was happy with the truck i had ..well a month ago they fired her said she was late 3 times in 9mos..one time was 15min..the other two were bad weather..I-40 was frozen and no one was moving , I bought another truck ,and everythng is good now,and looking for a third one, j.c.t.has a few co.drivers and will say everything's good, but they have 20-30 new people a week L/P trucks ,look at the truck# L-0000-a-z is how many people have leased it z being #26, I wasn't te only one from fla ,i had 3 other friend's go there to,one is still there,he's about ready to leave..he said $620 a week dosn't make it

Being late i can see getting fired after one to many times, as for I 40 being froze over and no one moving did she notify JCT of that fact?? you have to notify the company not just sit without or you dont have a leg to stand on, if the highway was shut down a driver tells the company, they verify by computer and such, Im not saying she didnt, just asking, im sure there has to be something in her file why they fired her,,being late on loads is a good reason.

I drove for a company that their policy concerning the weather delays such as closed roads, snowed, ice or whatever were NOT valid reasons for the load being late.

Well if the roads are shut down by the state and no traffic allowed on the highway, the company has to accept that fact,,you cant roll if the state patrol has the roads blocked off.

The company has to accept the fact, but they still recorded it as a driver delivering the load late. Noted as late without acceptable reason.
