Ats claims to be the best lease puchase in the industry. This is an out and out lie.You are forced to run ileagally just to try and take home a pay check.I worked for them in 2006and 2007.At the time i did good with them. Then they were a different company.I was takeing home between 1800 and 3500 dollars a week after expenses.I completed my first lease in may 2007 and got a neweer pete and started my second lease. Then my father passed so i took a leave of absence. They didn't want me to fall behind on my payments so they termed my lease at that time.At the time i had over 5000 dollars in my maintainance account.I drove the pete for 2 weeks b4 going on leave. There was nothing wrong with the truck when they sent a company driver to pick it up.They then hit my maintainance account for all i had left in it claiming the pete needed many repairs after they let a company driver use it for a month.when i was ready to return to work i was told i would have to go to orientation again and get a different truck.I decided not to return.I drove for a local company for awhile and in august 2008 moved to alaska at the urging of my sister who was there.I drove in AK for 7 mths returning home to RI in Feb 2009.I had trouble finding work so gave ats another shot.I went to orientation and got a 2006 volvo.i started driving feb 26th .After 2 weeks the truck had a major break down.I was out of work for 11 days.Which put me way behind in payments.Oh and by the way when i finished orientation b4 i was to leave i was informed that i owed them 975$ on the previous lease.I decided that after wasting a week in orientation i had to continue on and made arrangements to pay this even though i new it was bull.So after the first break down my truck broke down 3 more times. My first check was 1700$ 2nd 0$ 3rd 0$ 4th 295$ then 0$ after that first check the biggest check i recieved was my last in may 2008 for 1009$ and that was after running for 11 days straight. The freight bills that we used to recieve the first time i was employed with them we no longer recieved. They were hiding something. When youb would ask your dispatcher what a load payed the truck he would send you over a number. For instance In 2006 a water load from maine to NY paid the truck 850$.Now that same trip paid 850 b4 they took their cut.I conclude that they were taking their cut twice. When i asked to see the freight bills they no longer let the driver see them. There is no good lease purchase program out there.Ats is just another lieing company. They get you to orientation with lies and get you in a truck knowing you will not stay. But they have a number they know they will make off you b4 you get wise to them and that is good enough for them.Every other lease driver i spoke with was going through what i was going through. They chrge you 480 dollars a week for a truck that is paid off and is junk.I termed my lease may 21st. Got a local job mthat i started may26th.I am home nightly.I do two to three drop and hooks a day and gross 1200 and change a week.Stay away from lease purchases you can not make any money.Stay away from ATS they are just another in a long line of trucking companies that use and abuse drivers.

Ok, I know I'm going to get blasted over this. No I'm not cheerleading for ATS.
Ok you had family issues. This I understand.
You stated they came and picked up the trk. at your home correct?
Well read the lease terms. Trk. needs to be turned in at their location. If not you will be charged for retreiving it. I believe it even has the rate right in your lease.
So you live in R.I. and the trk. has to go back to St. Cloud. Lots of miles.
You stated company driver got it. Ok.
You should of asked or recieved a detailed final settlement from them about 45 days after you ended your contract.

As for restarting great. I believe their trks. come with a warrenty for what 30days after taking the trk.
Did you have these break downs then or after.
Breakdowns happen.. It's made by people..
    My trk. breaksdown also.

I have been with these people for 10 years now. I get mad at them at times, but I'm still here.
I have seen people get the short end I think untill you find out about past issues.
Then they say enough and have let them go..
    Time to cut everybodies losses..
Glad your happy where you are now.

And that's the way companies want you to read the lease agreement....So after you sign it you can say " OPPS" !!!!!

Why reply to a thread started 7 1/2 years ago and with the last reply almost 3 years old to ask a question completely unrelated to the thread?

I guess I could post a chicken noodle soup recipe here, it would be nearly as pertinent.
