I never said that those rates were great. I only commented on people complaining about the brokers taking $2.00 a mile and paying the drivers only .80 a mile.
I may be a wannabe but I am older and wiser than you. Plus, I own my own truck and trailer and I don't make payments to the bank on it. I drive it just because I can.
Older by little, wiser I would highly doubt that. Your last sentence confirms it.

Wireman...I probably make more in 6 months than you do in a year.
Read 95% of the posts here and it will confirm how crappy it is be a truckdriver right now. I am not a truckdriver, have nothing against truckdriving, obviously love to drive truck myself.....but tell me again who the wise one is?

I doubt you do. Lets see yeah it is a crappy profession. You do own your own truck and trailer but do drive. Today you don't drive tomorrow you will fly it right. You live in michigan so you probably work in the auto field for the next couple of days. If thats the case NO you definitely don't make more then me. UM, do tell me inquiring minds want to know. Nah nevermind we don't really care........We can place bets on who the wise one is but I don't like using money. Real estate and things along that line are alot better......

Don't feel bad! I leased one of their trucks and barely lasted 3 months. I stayed out 15 to 20 days at a time, 0 load refusals, and maintained 6.8 mpg with 1.4 % out of route. They dang near let me and my family starve to death. In the end, My wife was bringing home more money working at Wal-Mart than I was. They ran me just enough to cover the incurred expenses and fuel, that's all. The whole month of March I had only 1 positive pay settlement. The rest I ended up owing them. Then I complaind about it to their advocate team, and they started digging things out of my past from 5 years before I contracted with them, and did another background check, emphasizing on a Sex Offender check. These people are nothing but crooks, plain and simple. I have told everyone to stay away from them. They tell you it's your truck, but then you try to do something to it, and they buck on you, even though it's not in the lease agreement or contract with dart. Just an all around sorry outfit.

"The Dart Advantage" it's their advantage........as far as two months to get your check, most hold the final check as well as escrow for 45 days. At least you didnt fleece/purchase......

I P. O. My dispatcher. He wanted me to actually take 3.5 days to pick-up and deliver a 600 mile load. I wasn't having it so I delivered a day early.

This carrier is bad news. How do you justify a job when you run 600 miles in 3.5 days?

Please reconsider working for this company if possible.
