At what point is an owner operator just an employee that brought his own truck to work?I leased on with these jerks after buying a truck.i lasted 2 weeks they gave me 3 one hundred sixty mile runs, then tried to send me from maryland to north bergen nj 260 miles.I told them no they said if i didnt go then drop there trailer and go home and pull there stuff off truck.I guess these trucking companies have the upper hand right now but im still not running truck for nothing.

IF youre on dedicated its 85 cents a mile and its forced dispatch.never mind trying to tell them that run will cost you money"youre taking it they dont care if its a 100 mile load it still pays 85 cents.i guess i should have known better theres a cutoff point where youre losing money and when youre making money.

If i had crunched the numbers i would have realized that it does not matter if youre running 3000 miles a week 85 cents a mile will not pay your taxes your maint or anything else.im just glad i didnt do there lease purchase i brought my truck there.I was in orientation there was 2 of us we went outside for break, there was some drivers out there looking dejected.

I started talking with one and it turns out he was doing a lease purchase through them and he told me they just fired 5 drivers for being late 2 times.he didnt want to give the trk back because he almost had it paid for and he had a lot of money invested in it.Idont know how these people have been under the radar so long.but please be wary of there lease purcase plan.with all there deductions you wont make it.Iunderstand theres a 16000 dollar balloon at end of lease.hope this helps

Since you had your own truck, were there still deductions?

I guess you never figured out "the Dart Advantage" -but at 85cpm I guess there is no advantage.

With the Fleece the company is always smiling. But now you are smiling. =You got out while other fleecers are stuck.
