Keen Transport Inc., In my opinion In my opinion, I would nominate this company as being one of the most treacherous. However, the following *is* a true story. Keen was a good company until the owner died. He had kept the integrity to a high standard. But when he died, it went bad. My husband had some medical problems and at first they were willing to help. They were understanding and kind but when it came down to it, they abandoned him. We were left with little to do but comply. The Safety Dept. was all too willing to accept his new medical certification. But... The Safety Director took one look at the medical card and began arguing with my husband over one month. Instead of the 3 month mandatory certification, he insisted on it being only 2 months. When he was confronted with this, the safety director refused to budge. The Regulations are not open to interpretation. No matter who it is! I believe that the director wanted "revenge" on my husband for arguing with him and he used this. Now, my husband's DAC report says that Keen won't rehire him. I suppose if the Bible is open to interpretations, then so are the Regulations. Why can't people keep their personal pettiness out of business? He did this to prove to my husband that *he* was all-important and omnipotent. What trash! I don't understand why revenge and pettiness have to be a part of this industry. On the front, Keen Transport Inc., appears to be a great company...and it *used* to be. Now, it's just like any other company. And that's such a shame! My husband *was* willing to stay with them long enough to retire from them...proudly. Now, we have nothing polite to say about them. Also noted, the safety director abandoned his own father after a traffic incident. He did nothing to help his father legally or financially. The director let his father face this on his own. As far as we know, his father is still in prison. How do we know this? We had the very same truck his father had driven in the incident and we got to read *all* the Qualcomm messages with our own eyes. So, if you don't have *any* health problems or encounter any legal problems, then Keen won't have any problems with you. This the truth and the rest is my own personal opinion as well as my husband's.

We have managed to move on and up, actually. This incident caused 3 good things, however. It "made" him improve his health and now he doesn't need a doctor, he and I *both* exercise regularly, *and* I got my CDL to help support our family. And let's not forget we're both in better shape now. I also learned that life's too short to be taken for granted.

I was sidelined for 3 months due to sleep apnea. Because I was honest on the company physical questionnaire about my snoring, restless sleep, and waking up several times for water and pee brakes through the night, the doctor refused to renew my DOT card until I saw a sleep specialist. After a sleep test I was diagnosed with sleep apnea. Now I have to use a cpap machine every night while sleeping. It took me several weeks to get used to wearing the face mask but now that I have I feel much better and have been able to return to driving. Almost 18 years on the road have taken their toll on me as well. It is too easy to fall into a sedentary type lifestyle and gain weight out here. I will have to start dropping some weight myself to avoid any further health problems. I guess we all need a good swift kick in the butt sometimes to get our attention.

Sleep apnea, that is their newest thing. It's always somthing. The last physical i took they had me on this exercise machine for 20 mins before they took my blood pressure, and imagine that, it was up. What they should start doing is feeding you salt right before your phyical, and then act surprised when you BP is too high.

If they(Keen) sent you to USAHealthWorks, I am not at all surprised. And an FYI, they will NOT accept a physical from another doctor, even if that doctor is an O.D. with a specialty in Cardiology. Now bear in mind, all of what I'm telling about this company is either MY opinion or personal, first-hand, eye-witness accounts. The next time someone goes to apply to them, and they know they're not going to get hired, perhaps someone ought to ask the Safety Director just how is his dad doing? Then sit back and watch the fireworks.

| You would do that knowing that his dad had passed away? You're a sad, pathetic person.
