I don't know really any good/bad info about them, but they have been around a long time. Being where you live they might be a good Co for you, they may have you pull turnpike doubles? If not you should atleast be able to get home a good bit running gary back to ohio

Well I drive for them now, and have been for more than three months. I would not do it again. The equipment is beat all to hell, and they pay ####. This is the worst driving job I have ever had, pay wise. You could go to Burger King and make more money. And they dont have enough 4 axles to go around. You can pull an 8 axle that has been sitting around idle for years, then you can spend the next month or two in the shop getting the old 8 axle fixed. Or you could combine the time spent in the shop getting the 8 axle fixed with the time in the shop getting their beat down trucks fixed, all free of pay of course. Sure they have some nice trucks, have fun trying to get one though. The company is also union, so while your making your hard earned four hundred and fifty dollar bi-weekly pay checks, expect about ninty dollars a month to come out for union dues. But......They have free health, dental, and vision insurance. Im sure this is because no one there can afford to pay for it themselves if they had to. Myabe I got a raw deal, but I doubt that. I have worked for a REALLY great company hauling steel, then got laid off due to the auto ind. decline, and had I known my driving career would have wound up in a company like this, I would have quit driving all together and saved some pride along the way. So, just FYI No tarp pay, No bounce pay, No detention pay (with the mills thats not good), No breakdown pay, and they say that they pay holidays however, I've been here through two of them and havent seen a dime. And lastly, they cut the percentage pay to twenty three percent no matter the drivers experience. You also might find it difficult to relay any mechanical problems to the shop in Gary, because only one person in the shop speaks English. This is especially helpfull when something is in DOT violation and the guy that does speak English, is out on a road call and you have to try to use hand signals to communicate so you can make your delivery or go hame for the weekend. Hope I didnt scare you, just want you to be informed.

Thanks Breakdown, I took a ride to the gary yard yesterday, boy everything you just said poped into my head. Looked at the truck ( drove by it) and just kept on driving by. Stoped in talked to Jyance very nice, but every other guy walking by me was not speaking english. I figured there were problems when the CO did not want to pay for my first dot physical $ 75.00, and going thur a employee lease co whats that all about. Thankyou very much I was hoping someone answered my questions b4 I had to start.

I dont know what thats about, they have three companies in one over there. Insurance comes from one, pay comes from another and you drive a truck that says something totally different. Its probably a leagal thing.

Did you ever bother them about your holiday pay?

It seems alot of people with complaints don't really stand up for themselves, and if that's the case then perhaps it was just a payroll mistake and you should've brought it to their attention.

This happened alot with the drivers and the company that i used to work for, lots of stuff they complained about on here was merely a miscommunication that could've been changed/fixed if they would've done something about it but never bothered.
