DO you wonder why when you took the CDL driving test you had to stop ON the white line? Do you remember all the days on the training field where you had to STOP ON THE LINE? I guess you will NOW understand that a ripped off bumper is the drivers fault! Remember the white line!

I'd guess that curb jumped out and just ripped that bumper off the truck. They're sneaky that way, you know.

Hey does anyone know how Lessors is twards O/O's? Do they honestly pay for all the tolls and scale tickets? Currently working for Hirschbach. I'm sick of running rt 80-90 and piss-ant runs. All I need it 2600 miles a week to keep my nose above water and at Hirschbach I'm screaming for 2100!! They were great in the beginning. The co is going thru some drastic neg changes too. I'm looking to stay in the reefer industry. Any info would be great. The posts I've been reading and complaints are from company drivers would love to hear from O/O

That's a true statement with any company. You have to build a partnership with the company, be trusted and on time. Then they take care of you.

I put the license plate on my new truck in Jan 09. It sits 4" above the ground. At that time I said I will never dent this license plate. My wheel base is longer than most trucks and I haven't dented the plate yet. Room or no room, you don't have to hit stuff. Treat it as you own it and it will always look good. Many drivers today abuse equipment just to save 10 seconds. A good driver is also a good equipment operator. You know how to get the most out of it without abusing it.

Anytime you are in the drivers seat and do damage to the equipment it's your fault, not the guy guideing you not the guy telling you it's ok not the guy telling you everybody else does it, it's YOUR fault. But the bigger question is why would you agree to have it taken out of your pay?
