CR England Institutes Pay Cuts for IC's

It was announced today that due to economic conditions, IC's would being seeing changes to their compensations. The base rate of .90/mile will stay the same, but dead head or empty miles will be lowered to .80/mile. Also changes are being made to the short haul mileage pay. Also, as of Sept 21, all IC's will now be required to pay for their own permits, tags and stickers which will be deducted from their pay at a rate of almost $45/week. Ain't life grand?

I'm in phase 2 training and my trainer has already stated he is going to leave. I know others will too. Funny, company drivers didn't take a pay cut.

it's usually the l/o's that get hit first. company drivers aren't far behind with some kind of change that doesn't benefit them in any way, shape, or form. gotta love those mormon companies!

Company drivers will loose 1c a mile.
Lease driver on the fuel rebate will loose a additonal 2c as they are changing the way the fuel rebate is going to work.
this week was .22 rebate per mile under new contract it will only be .20 this week.

How much lower could they go? CR England is already the lowest paying carrier out there.
