You did. Someone who "would have served if he could"(yeah, right)doesn't get to express an opinion on the matter and have it be taken seriously. Here's to ya, and I hope this ridiculous legal cluster bungle gets resolved soon.

As A NCO you should know what it is about. Completing the mission given. You don't get to pick the battles, but you carry out your orders. As a NCO you lead by example. If your troops sense you have doubt in the mission they get discouraged and moral is down. That is when your outlook can be negative on the mission. Troops rely on their chain of command. I never let my personal feelings get involved when leading my men. Their welfare is one of my duties as a NCO. Lack of moral can destroy the mission and the men.

Even when in a bad situation if the troops feel their leadership is in control they have something. When they start questioning what they are doing is when more of our lives are at stake.

The question I have is, if you were told to return your license the first of September so the renewal process could start all over, then why did you wait until the end of September to return them, and lose your truck, along with other monetary hardships?

You think they are bringing that oil here?

We are in Afghanistan to build a pipeline for that Iraqi oil.

The Alaskan pipeline oil never made it here either. It went to Japan.

I understand this and this is the point I was trying to make. People keep repeating the same line that we only went there for the oil. I never thought that oil would extend to us, unlike some.

Even when in a bad situation if the troops feel their leadership is in control they have something. When they start questioning what they are doing is when more of our lives are at stake.

I NEVER, EVER QUESTIONED IT "WHILE" I WAS THERE....I fulfilled my missions, never raising doubt, never making younger soldiers question anything. As a matter of fact most of the younger troops liked me BECAUSE I worked with them. Not just stood back and b.s'ed with the other NCO's....That being said, I was proud of what I did, missions I fulfilled during my years in. Please do not lecture me about being a NCO as there was enough soldiers running around with the "God Complex"....Nice to see this "complex" is still alive and well....thanks for affirming....Different units have different leaders.

To give you an example of some of the "stellar leadership" we had, any SFC that stands up in front of the company as acting 1sg, and brags, IN FORMATION about how many soldiers he has "put out" "got in trouble" etc., since he took over waiting for another 1sg, instead of helping these soldiers first off, just trashing their careers before they get started...Is no leader in my opinion....

My whole point of stating what I did earlier is the fact that all I know is I helped "liberate" a foreign country from another foreign country....This directly involved us how?.....As I said before, its all p nus envy, who has the bigger one and who wants to wave it around......Thats all war is really ever about now these days isn't it?

Back during the World Wars it was totally different. One analogy is that we could have possibly been speaking German? Yes, had things not gone the way they did....Half the countries we end up fighting nowadays got some of their own equipment from us....Small Example..ever see the "infamous" Bin Laden tape?, I swear he was wearing a field jacket "identical" to the one I was issued........I feel horrible for those who have lost their lives in Iraq dealing with these people. ...But at least I UNDERSTAND what this war is about, the "war on terror"...soon as I saw the planes hit the towers, I told my best friend, get ready, he said "for what" I said "we're going to war"...

The story changed every other phonecall to the point of high confusion, it truly sounded like those on the other end were not to sure how this was going to play out either......I spoke with the same woman numerous times, each time something was changed, something added, something subtracted...

Thanks. You filled in a lot of blanks I was wondering about. Does this mean you have no license to drive a car or anything until this mess is straightened up? It shouldn't, but with state and federal governments, you never know.

I have owned a few businesses in the past, and dealing with town, county, state, feds, and IRS is one reason I am a part time driver and a part time ONE MAN small business now. Having employees is a pain, and the small business I now have is a lesser pain than most as far as the gov is concerned.

I hope you get things straightened out. I have made as many as 15 calls to my state government, and got 15 different answers to the same question, from I don't know, this is not the right dept, call back later, I know what you need, and then a letter stating I am not in compliance because I followed said advice from state employee.

It makes you want to scream. Hang in there, if you have anything left to hang on with.

Thank You very much, and I AM seeking assistance in this matter,...latest up date, I get to the C.D.L. testing facility on saturday,(after an all night ride of over 800 miles) since all of this crap happened while I was in the MIDDLE of moving, AND my license was turned in, I did not have the "minimum" requirements to be a resident of the state,I kept receiving grief about not turning in a "normal license" so I could obtain a cdl. ALSO, it would take at least three days to verify the information in the computer, and the people who DID that were not even there, they ONLY worked m-f, the "rental truck" costs 240 bucks, which obviously guess what, that doesn't exist either. So either way, I'm done, I'm tired of fighting a system that obviously isn't working. OH and get this, only AFTER I requested to see a supervisor while standing there, did I get some more information, but I showed him my TWIC card, and I asked him "well how in the world did I even get this if my license isn't good"?....he did not even know what it was, I had to tell him what the identification was used for.

I'm done....you guys have at it.......
