Trailer Ironpony

I'm 100 % agreeable to your post Ironpony your job is what you make out of it sure you'll always get some cranky dispatcher or mechanic working on your truck but hey thems the breaks you take it or leave it like the old saying goes what you see is what you get if you don't like what you see don't get it. A few of us guys started out with LW Miller based in Logan Ut we started at 31c a mile with out any experience so getting a pay start like that i wasn't about to start whinning i was just greatful to get the job in the first place. However again it really depends on what miles your running on my first week alone i did 1 run from Logan Ut to Phoenix Az and back not alot of miles to start with but hey i didn't complain and guess what the following week i got 2500 miles so it all averages out eventually so its how you end up at the end of the year that really matters then if your still short on miles i'd consider having a yarn with the superviser again its all about diplomacy how you talk to them really does matter how would you respond to someone coming over and cussin at you all calling you all sorts of names so it works both ways you treat someone with dignity its really amazing how things go well for you. thats my theory on the matter guys/ gals you all keep safe now and keep those trucks arolling.

regards
aussiejosh

So truckstopking issues his opinion (right or wrong its his right to his opinion) and the best u2exit can come up with is sophomoric insults about the city of Fresno? I think you protest too much. No wonder some people think you and ironpony are shills. You guys certainly act like it. Rebutting a statement and launching into a recruiting spiel only makes you sound like a shill. I may be loyal and dedicated to my employer (don't bite the hand that feeds) but you guys are downright blind. Like German citizens in the late 1930s blind. As in can't see the forest for the brownshirts blind. I may like my job but that doesn't prevent me from seeing that a couple people have been given a raw deal here and there. Not to say that Prime totally sucks, but there are enough people complaining to make me wonder. And in case you didn't notice this is the "Report a Bad Trucking Company" forum, not the "I Love My Company So Much I'm Sticking to My Underwear" forum.

I think a moderator needs to step in here and deal with a couple people crossing the line when it comes to courtesy and decorum.

So... lets see. If I'm "downright blind," then perhaps you would suggest a better line of work for me??

Prime isn't a 10-truck company. There's 3500-ish or so trucks, and well over 4000 CDL-holders employed or leased-on by the company. So, yeah, there's turnover, and not everyone is happy. But then again, being a 50-something American citizen, I've noticed that as time goes on, the younger cohort - say 30ish and below, whines about everything.

Waaah! Waddaya mean I'm not makin' a million bucks driving a truck for my first week!

Sounds about the way things are now.

Shill? Nope. I'd demand that Prime would pay me for that little privilege - and I'm sure I'd get kicked off of the forum like Steve n' Lo did.
