yeah you dont want to have to drop anything on the weekend because all the good loads more than likely will have been assigned and you will likely get the 30 mile run that delivers on monday morning

Trucking companies like to act like they're doing you this huge favor by giving you choices. What they don't tell you is: "Would you like to be buttraped, sodomized, or cornholed?" Some choices...

Well I just got told I "dont meet their hiring criteria". They did neglect to give their specifics. Smart choice on their part. To keep it with what they said I guess. But to summarize, I have 4 years experience, rehirable anyday with two of my prior employers, no tickets, and one very minor "preventable" accident. I say preventable that way because the carrier I worked for at the time, said themselves it was a tight spot, but "according to ata guidelines......." oh well though. Sounds like USA is a bad comany anyway.

Pro tip, AVOID VanDalia. it's a #### hole.

2.) Night/Weekend dispatchers are clueless, and NEVER give up an 1100 mile load. Run that puppy into the Roanoke Yard and THEN tell them you never got the QC message (damn things never work right anyway,)

As far as the Trainers thing goes, they have good ones and bad ones. What do you expect when you can be a trainer in under 24 months? (I can't even get another OTR Job with that little exp.)

Tragic, Try to keep south of the Ohio river, you'll run better there. Talk to your FM, ask where the freight is. The South's a little dry last I heard, but there's still quite a bit of freight on the EC Mid-Atlantic. Might be able to run you home on a Texas run too.

Bring plenty of vaseline. If you run out tell your dispatcher you need some more.

Good advice. Vandilia is a sh!thole and full of ########## that think they are mechanics. If they want you to stop there for a service or whatever avoid it like the plague or you may be there for a couple days.

Man, have I got a story for y'all! Since my last post i no longer work for USA truck. I was fired tuesday! 3 weeks ago I was pulled into the West Memphis scale for a D.O.T insp. They found 2 violations on my trailer. The officer asked were I was headed and I told him to our terminal bout 2 miles away so he said he wasn't gonna put me out of service but to go straight to the terminal to get the trailer fixed since it was so close. Then last week I get a call from safety asking if I was put oos. I told them what was said so he told me to put the conversation in detail on the qualcomm in case there were questions later on. I did and thought that was the end of it. So tuesday I get a call from my fm telling me that safety had talked to this D.O.T guy and he told them that he put me out of service and I left anyway! The SOB lied to keep from getting in trouble b/c he wasn't supposed to let me leave. I'm new, I didn't know all the rules at the time. USA was real cool about it though. They told me it wasnt them firing me it was DOT and to take this to court and get it straighened out. They paid all my expenses to get home and told me as soon as this was straighened out they wanted me back so now I'm shopping for a lawyer to bring down the state of Arkansas. Right now my career is ruined cause another trucking co won't touch me with this on my DAC. I found out in my short time as a trucker that this is the most corrupt, back stabbing business i've ever seen and I think I may be better off to get out of it all together.
