1.I used tu run dedicated out of P&G in Greenville NC( i live 12 miles from it) and they only produced tampons and panty liners. All D&H so the common joke was "I hope the last driver that dropped this mt made sure it doent have a hole in the roof" ,,but if it does we will never know
2.Back when we were CFI we had a customer in downtown ATL that was a interior decorator so he bought furniture and stuff from South America,we would pull these loads from Laredo TO the ATL and when you opened door you would find like 6-12 inches of straw on floor, and pottery front to tail all packed with straw in between pcs of pottery, took forever to unload, and the mess took a while to get out of trailer
3.Split wet cow hides from MN to Laredo Tx,,what a stinkin mess
weirdest thing you have hauled?

I guess I would have to say 40,000lbs of pig tails to Baton Rouge. I was like???? What do you do with pig tails??? Upon arrival, I couldn't help but ask. His response was, "You're in the hood". Evidently they cook them like cracklin and use them in soups and stuff. So if you eat down there and see curlyQ's in your soup, you know what it is.
Not hauling, but back in my warehouse days at a nuclear plant, I was the only one working 2nd shift in shipping and receiving. I get a call from operations to let them know when a certain truck arrives and strict orders not to open the doors.
The truck arrives and I call operations. A few minutes later a couple site firetrucks pull up and 2 guys dressed out in nuclear suits with breathing air show up. They open the doors and the driver backed to the dock. The dressed out guys walk in the trailer and back out. Then they tell me it's okay to go in and get the pallet.
I was like?? You want me to go in there?? Give me one of them suits, lol.
I pulled the pallet out and it had two plain 1 gallon paint cans shrink wrapped to the pallet. On the side of the paint cans was hazmat nuclear symbols. He told me they were special paint, but who knows? They sure were extra careful and for someone to pay an 18 wheeler to haul just two paint cans???Sam Hell Thanks this. -
i have hauled a bit of weird stuff--nothing to great--but here is a twin otter--that was used by the govt of columbia , i think--have to check ac log --as i kept it by accident
anyways it was going from nc to calgary for a rebuild--was complete with a few bullet holes---the guys had counted them--i think was approximately 50 holes
--had the wings strapped to walls up high so that made it a bit interesting in the wind and ice in nd being more weight up highAttached Files:

Got directions to go to some place in NH about ten years ago. The directions included "the small road just after the such-and-such", and told me to watch for a certain house.
I pull up, the guy meets me. I'm sitting on this unpaved road, and he tells me to open the doors. I do, and he and an associate start loading about 120 hat boxes. Yessir...the big ol' hat boxes grandma probably used to protect her Sunday best. Not on racks or pallets...just randomly scattered on the floor. They were headed to the Chicago area. -
I'm probably going to see him again either tomorrow or Tues., so I'll ask him if he did that one.
EDIT: In fact, now I'm positive, here's some pictures I pulled off his website.
And the finished product.

thats where i unloaded for sure was airdrie--i either didnt realize or remember he was from calgary
of course the trip entailed a full day at the border cause somebody didnt pay some kind of tax on the load and somehow the load was for a friend of one of the owners of the company--so it was a donated day i think, maybe i got a hand out--cant remember--it was my first trip after being off 3 months from heart attack--so i was just happy to have a nice trip and be back on the road
