I once was [forced dispatched] a load of sears catalogs from New Jersey with drops in many small towns all the way west and ended up in Dodge City. I had to finger print every last one of them. Paid good for each drop, but a lot of work!

I haul containers, where should I begin..............hmmm, there was the disassembled log home that came from Poland to outside Edwards, Colo. where it was reassembled on a new foundation. It was the womans ancestorial home, she even paid for workers from her village to come to the US for 3 weeks to reassemble the house.

44,500 lbs of sand, did this several times, in cardboard drums being shipped to China, to be used for etching glass plates that will be shipped back to the US for use in copy machines.

1 Apache Helicopter, minus rotors, wing stubs, landing gear or interior. Loaded in a 45' container being shipped to Saudi to be used as a flight simulator.

1 pallet, 48" x 48", containing 3 cardboard boxes, from the Records Archives, Federal Center, Lakewood, Colorado, final destination, National Archives, Washington DC, blocked and braced in a 48' container, it was then loaded on a train.

I hauled a half of a load of perforated stainless steel pipe to the nuclear testing site in Mercury, NV once. I got the whole "go through everything" including your underwear drawer search. I hauled it over the mountain to a little out of the way site. I was given a map and informed that I wasn't to leave the main road as this was a deadly force area. They gave me a radiation detector and sent me on my way.

Mercury NV is the area where they did all of the nuclear testing in the 50's and 60's. It borders the back side of Area 51.

Not so much weird but irresponsible. 2 partial loads, one with some kind of pesticides for a vet clinic and the second was cake mix for some food baking storage in the same trailer. Another time I hauled soda cans after delivering fertilizer.

Dinosaur bones. Many were still incased into rock. Each rock then had a frame built for support. They treated each one like they were handling Grandma's best china.

Rocket fuel, yeah it was the real stuff. Asked the shipper what I should do if it caught fire and he told me to pull the handle and go cause it it went off it would take out city block. It was kinda wierd how little it weighed, 55gal drums stem to stern in a 53' trailer and the total load was still under 30K.
