I-57 Illinois 58-60mm Just wanted to let everyone know the locals started running I-57 mile marker 58-60 last week. Stated in the paper by chief of police the would be out 24/7 to write tickets to make up for a $35,000.00 a month deficit.

Marion? There's always locals working there down to I-24 split along with the DOT. There's some more locals that work regularly down around the 16-17.
But thanks for the heads up. You need money, pick on the truckers. They are from out of town and have plenty of money.

Exit 59
No, not Marion. It is Johnston City I-57 Exit 59 about five miles north of Marion and 15 miles north of 57/24 split

That is a small town. They do need money. I wonder if they considered other fundraisers like a chili cookoff or lemonade stand?

Nah, get the speeders on a federally funded interstate. It's easier.

I'm just playin'. Keeping roads safe is one thing. Generating revenue is another. And they advertise it just makes it worse.
While all two bears are out there, someone needs to break in the mayor's house.
