Maybe he thought your rig was too long & was trying to shorten it up a bit. Back in my days never had that happen to me.
I would think that today's drivers having attended truck driving school would have more experience backing up than it yesterday years. When I started driving in 1970 I had never backed up a truck, only had experience backing a boat into the water to launch it at the lake.
Can't imagine hitting anyone truck & causing damage them lying about it, guess there's lots of it out there in today's modern world.
My father taught me to take responsiblity for whatever I did & never lie about it, & I'm thankful for him & all that he taught me.
