Referring to the Black Dog movie scene where they take the air lines off the trailer and keep rolling, wouldn't it keep going if the trailer doesn't have spring brakes? Maybe the trailer frame was older? The movie was made in the 90's
Dark_Majesty_06 Thanks this. -
Did anyone ever mention "Think Big". It had two muscled up twins in a Pete who get into some wacky situations while trying to get the last load in to buy the truck for good. I really liked it... Pretty sure it was from the 80s

I'll tell you what, I saw the best trucker movie ever made. It was a British film from the 50's and the whole plot was how fast you could drive from place to place. It opens with a guy showing up at the truck company for the job and he is given a chance to see what he could do. So he runs out and jumps in a "lorry" and goes full bore down those small roads in England to a destination and back. He's careening here and there, almost hitting other vehicles, he gets back and he gets the job. Then it goes on with various runs around England. It was hilarious! And no, I do not remember the name of the flick.

Most movies featuring truckers do not put in a positive light. White Line Fever is good. Also , not a film but an old tv series that I loved when I was a Kid Movin' On starring Claude Akins (ol' square head)

Joy ride 1, 2, and 3...hands down my favorites what can I say there are times when I've seen scenes from black dog duel convoy smokey and the bandit all of them that I'd just for once in my life be able to do what they do and not get in trouble for it...just saying

Reason for edit: either that or i'm flickin' one mean booger on ya -
I saw one with Bogie in it. It was called 'They Drove By Night'.
It's from a different era, and I won't spoil the ending, but it was much better than I expected. -
Jacknife starring Robert Deniro and Ed Harris is an excellant movie. Made in 1989, its about 3 childhood friends who served in Vietnam and they come back with PTS after one of them dies. The surviving 2 are truckers who try to adjust back into society but can't let go of the past. Not an action flick, but very good movie overall.

Not sure if this one was suggested (I'm not reading through 23 pages lol) but I really enjoyed a movie called Blacktop. It was filmed in the early 2000's and starred Meat Loaf as well as a couple lesser known Canadian actors. (Not to be confused with Black Dog, which also starred Meat Loaf)
