My exaust manifold wasn't cracked.... They were having difficulty removing the studs. So I told them to order one. It was going to add just shy of $600 onto my already quoted $1023 to replace the turbo gasket & manifold gasket.

Then this afternoon they call me.... Tell me that my turbo is cracked, but they did salvage my exhaust manifold. So the question I came up with is "how Much?"

Just shy of $1400 for the turbo..... "OK, How much do I owe you right now?" $1864 and some change!

    "WHAT!!!!"

I went off on that ###### over the telephone. Told him about the quote I had recieved..... He said there wasn't a quote in the computer. So I hung up, called the taxi, & boogied on over there! I wanted to be there.... I needed to be there!

Come to find out, the quote that I was given yesterday was quoted thinking that I had a cummins engine. (<--------I wish) Anyhow, they lowered their price to match the quoted price & discounted the $1500 turbo. But I still have to pay the core charge cause my core is cracked & won't be cored.

I'm looking at roughly 3 grand now & the truck will be ready tonight. But I'm staying at the motel & going over there in the morning to get it.

Oh I've already been, left, went back to and left a second time in Jax.
This morning after pre-tripping I pulled into the fuel island to wash my windshield and I was really surprised how easily I was able to wash off all the love bugs from my windshield.

But yeah, I'm heading north where it's at least cooler than FL.

Back at the House took mama home from hospital--Dr's seem to feel surgery was a success--Poor girl doesn't deserve all this--beat Cancer twice-and here she goes again--hoping this is THE LAST TIME
Very weird looking out back being home and NOT seeing a truck--oh well guess I'll get used to it--

The APU blows cold air into the sleeper! The AC blows cold air out of the dash!

It is a quantum leap up from the Century! Nowhere to hang clothes, but a whole upper bunk to lay them out on.

To say I am pleased would be quite an understatement.

It did take a lot of work to get a key. Then a lot of work to get three good batteries.

But I am back in Shepherd. Will try to load up tomorrow. And may just wait for day dispatcher on Monday.
