Temperature controlled freight is a huge part of this business... if you want quiet go to a library. This is trucking, and its not for sissy's.

Personally I could do without all of the noise from idling, and the idiots with the jet-engine level noise from their home brew crap APUs. But ya know, its part of the business. Deal with it.

I always thought the front row was for the people who either idled, apu'd or had reefers. When I drove reefers I always tried to park alone wherever that was. That way if you parked next to me, it was not my doing. When the place is crowded park where you can fit into a spot (I don't park in entry ways, non-spots etc, including handicap marked) unless adverse conditions where no stripes are visible or highways are closed and then all bets are off....still you use common sense. In any event that reefer was on, but not running...the driver was idling probably had the I whatever cooling system. I moved.
