My thing is once again pulling a flatbed this week;I have heard its hard work but in 8 years I have not really "worked" a day,and I cannot believe what I get paid to do it."That" is the part I will miss. All the Trucking B.S. though can kiss my ###.
Now, that is good news my friend.... Very glad to know that you will move on to something you really enjoy... I hope... Best wishes... money without happiness is unsatisfying....

Now I am in a very quiet and mpt small gas station in BEAUTIFUL Colorado Very strong wind last night in IA and NE.... I heard on the radio it was snowing in Montana and some storm coming to southeast... Crazy weather... I took a few sips of my Brazilian tea (erva mate) and drove all night, didn't feel sleepy at all... stopped in NE for some quick trailer light repair and after I parked here felt like I could still run up a hill.... Did all my truck inspection and cleaning, cooked, ate and now, back to bed. Now will need a different tea to sleep, maybe some chamomile... Gotta start rolling at 22:15.

Went to donate plateletts today and had to stop part way through. You're supposed to keep your arm rolled with the wrist and hand up; I must have got a little too relaxed and my arm rolled. The tech checked it and I had a marble sized bruise forming. She turned my arm back over and things were going fine. An alarm went off and the other tech came to check and the marble had doubled in size. They stopped right then, pulled the needle and put ice on my arm. She said I was going to have a beautiful bruise as all the blood redistributed through the tissue. She wasn't kidding; the entire area in the crease of my arm is a lovely shade of purple and spreading down my arm toward my wrist. I've given plateletts for years and never had something like this happen. First time for everything.

Rocks, I'll be happy for you to get off the night driving. Your body sounds like it's definitely got it's days and nights all mixed up. It's not easy getting the rest you need when you switch shifts, so you be extra careful. The tired sleepy's may hit you unexpectedly. Keep safe, girl. ~Hugs~

Rocks, as far as I know that's any truckstop in Jersey! I wound up staying in Bloomsbury that night in a self-created parking spot until the wee hours of the morning when people started leaving out to go to work. Snaked the first open spot I saw, and finally dropped for a few hours of much needed beauty sleep (and trust me, I need all the "beauty sleep" I can get!). I absolutely hate parking on the end! Especially when it's not a parking spot! Spend all my time worrying somebody's gonna rip off my hood, or needs me to shift the truck one way or the other so they can get around!

    Good Lord, I hate Jersey!

You and TeddyBear are the SWEETEST people I think I have ever known..And I still have 7 months to track YOU down. You are VERY HARD to catch.

In Missoula and I think it was ugly here yesterday;as it's ugly now. I saw 7 bikers heading East not far from here bundled up like January..And on my side three horses standing under a tree to get out of the rain. I thought that was funny.
