I never go across the George Washington - too much delay, and the traffic is insane - even at 0200. The last straw was when some idiot in a Caddy comes out of one of those real short entrance ramps down in the Bronx at 10 mph right in front of me. I287 via the Tappan Zee. It's only about 20 miles longer.

Yeah... I have come here before a few times and I HATE IT! Don't know an easy way... And one last thing... no place to park truck from I-93 NH to I-95 RI this weekend... WTF!! Nothing in MA... If anybody has any ideas, plz let me know. No place to take a shower... If I sit for 34 plus hrs this weekend, will have to stay at a WM supercenter in NH and will have to continue washing myself inside truck... till next week... Today I was having my PMS and honked a few times to some idiots... I drive with my window open... so I can put my hands outside and shout and communicate with other drivers too... and that helps a lot too.

TA at Branford CT I95 x56. Grocery store across the street, plus some restaurants I haven't investigated.

North Stoningham RI, Rhode Island Truck Center, I95 x5B - never tried it, its the only one in RI.

It looks like the stretch of I95 east of the 91 split has some service roads by it that run from exit to exit. You might be able to jin something up that way...

Do not go up I95 through Providence - the Pawtuckett Bridge is still off limits on the north-east side of town. There is a huge fine associated with even getting onto the approach to it. Use the I295 beltway around it.

I always liked that TA because the grocery store was there. Little pricey (but it IS the NE), but I always got good product from that store and the people were pretty friendly too.
