    Old thread:For an old story.

Back in 1988 I was welding in a factory which made air compressors and close friendships were made..Hardly a weekend went by where their wasn't a party of some sort and yet-a 38 year old woman who worked on a assembly line there would put us to shame for alcohol consumption..She and a friend of mine 15 years her junior had a romance and rented a house in a nearby town called Lafayette...

She started coming into work looking "rougher" than usual, and word got to me she was being bothered by a ghost at their house 12mi away in Lafayette. Of course I saw a great opportunity for a party excuse-brought it up to my friends-and on the coming Friday night after work we decided to havea GhostBuster
    party. :)

Friday after work came and 2 carloads headed directly to their house and the car I was in stopped in a town before-had a couple beers-and went on to Lafayette. We had fun for a couple hours and then a couple of us decided to look for the "ghost" with much yelling,mocking,etc...

After about 15 minutes of this I was upstairs standing on the 1st step and loudly proclaimed-in a scene from Poltergeist- 'This house is now clear'..No sooner than having said that,I felt an incredibly strong and icy grip on my shoulder...and it threw me down the stairs.. We stayed for another hour and then moved the "party" to New Ulm just because I suppose.. but: To this day a couple of my friends don't believe what I just told you however..I will never...ever...forgot that icy cold and tremendously strong grip on my shoulder which threw me as I would throw a bag of Cheetos down those stairs..

Two weeks later Mary and Steve moved out of that house and although Mary's drinking got worse...Her stories of "ghosts" were no more...

I saw a piece on tv about this. Unsolved Mysteries I believe it was. If I remember correctly, it's in Florida. Turns out that it's just an optical illusion. It's by RR tracks and it looks like you're rolling uphill, but you're really rolling downhill. They couldn't replicate any fingerprints.
