    I started with roehl back in early july of this year. And I have been in trucking on and off since the early 1980's
    So heres the straight up deal with roehl. "According to my experiences with them so far"...the short version.

    THE HOTEL: Fair! I only give this a fair rating because u bunk with another person and he was a Donkies rearend! The roehl food menu is good. The wieght room Stinks..over all a clean hotel, with free breakfests.. restaurant: good, above avg. price for meals. A 3block walking distance to a hardees and gas station "Nothing else around"
    ORIENTATION: Excellent!:biggrin_255:
    It's fast paced so pay attention!!!
    If you have high blood pressure, high sugar levels or just a high bpm "your going home b4 noon on day1!!! you will never pass the endurance test. out of 16 people in my orientation class 7 were sent home...

    The DRG(The bible) they give u covers everything u want to know. From Co. policies to step-by-step instructions on about everything u need to do to complete 98% of your day-to-day duties and tasks without calling your fleet manager every minute with questions.
    "Although the lunch menu needs some major rework. If your like me and watch what u eat u have to get very,very creative with it".

    MENTOR PROGRAM: POOR/VERY POOR!:smt021
    This program is definitely in need of major process improvement...
    I had 3 mentors in what was suppose to be 8-11days. Turned out to be 21days...

    1 mentor was a joke! the other 2 were ok...

    THE TRUCK::Wrench: BELOW AVERAGE!
    See that wrench above? your going to need it...
    I got assighned a frieght shaker w/450,000+miles already on it. "AND TRASHED INSIDE":Tow truck:...
    The detailer that clean the rig b4 u get it. sweep it "THATS IT"...
    I spent a 4hrs cleaning and doing minor repairs myself , BUT i did get a new mattress....
    NO! cb cable hookups.."The last driver ripped them out!" and for some unknown reason its not on thier priority list...

    FLEET MANAGERS: EXCELLENT!:angel4:
    So far, So good.."If I ever have the same 1 for more than 2wks. I've had 8 so far"...
    they are very cooperative and understanding...Not pushy at all...

    BREAKDOWN DEPARTMENT: (NO ICON AVALIBLE TO DISCRIBE)...
    You better have a cell phone with a camera option on it....Because they want a photo first b4 they'll authorize repairs...

    PREPLANS: :biggrin_2559::biggrin_25515: AVERAGE

    Its the same no matter were you go in this industry...

    Some loads you scratch your head and say "WTF are they thinking? They now I don't have the hrs to run this? Why are they even sending me this?"

    Some loads you say "Thats it?"

    Some loads you say "I got to drive 200miles to P/U a load? whats wrong with the city I'm already in?

    Some loads you say "Now thats a load, Its about time!" These are far and few between...

    CUSTOMER BASE::biggrin_2559::biggrin_25512:Below average
    I hope you like driving down the back roads of the great states of the USA...You will! "And be looking for a county road named BOBs road-lol"...

    "I'm still scratching my head on this one in dis belief":biggrin_2556:
    HOMETIME: EXCELLENT!!!
    they have (SO FAR) not missed getting me home on time "BIG FACTOR FOR ME!"

    OVER ALL RATING: FAIR:biggrin_25525:
    My advise for anyone thinking about entering the trucking industry...
    You better have the balls to stand up for yourself and say no to a load and you better be able to put your foot down and say "this truck isn't moving untill this gets fixed!"
