Am I out of line? I am annoyed!

I'm waiting for this driver shortage to get in full swing so they will really treat us like human beings for actual fear of losing a good driver!

There is no driver shortage, there's just shortage of drivers willing to put with masive amont of bs in the trucking industry.

Awww cmon a guy can dream right?!

 

yeah a guy can dream...but nothing will change.....there would be a way to change our situations but there are too many companies and too many OOs to make a strike effective...the only way it could be effective is that ALL trucks stop moving...but with the advent of large companies and the plethera of O/Os and the fact that we have to work hard for what we get it is impossible to change right now...hopefully the next election cycle will bring some change to the DOT but I know better

 

Heck Roehl appreciates us so much that even during our Driver Appreciation week we didn't even get a Thank You for your service voicemail.

Instead, get a voicemail saying:

"we are not doing anything for you this year, until we find out if we won the award or not, then we will decide what we will do for you"

Not even a thank you in there. go figure. Instead, as rumor has it, they are gonna give us some cheap jacket saying "Roehl" from roehlmart, so that we can advertise for them in light of them showing appreciation for us.

Maybe I'm bitter on it, but I thought from the moment I got the voicemail that it was very piss poor of them to do this, Our Appreciation week has nothing to do with them winning some "ego stroking" award that only the CEO's give a #### about..

I'm sure they'll reinvest the money saved from driver appreciation week back into the drivers....
