Make sure you have an Oregan permit before you get there, not all the trucks have them and not all the FM's know about them

The quarterly bonuses paid this week. I'll try not to blow all $88.26 in one place. Oh, wait, after taxes, and 401k it was $75.20. That's almost enough to take the family out to dinner. Better than nothing I guess.

We're in the Phoenix yard for the night. Yesterday afternoon and all day today have been fubar'ed. Long story short.. Overweight in CA at the CHP scale (8 miles from the shipper), back to fix it...tried to deliver it this am only to be told nobody made your appt, come back tomorrow. Drop that here in Phoenix, can't find a trailer that isn't red tagged, 2 hours later good to go.
Off the the shipper, pick-up number is for a load that isn't ready yet....call to get a new one and night dispatch says find a place to park and wait for it. Back to the yard, talked to a planner here, he gives is a new number and back we go. Get checked in, get the bills, head out back to wait in line. After an hour, go check to see what's going on only to find out the loaders went home for the day. Really?!?!? So back to the yard we came. Days like this really make you rethink wether this job is worth it.

Sitting just south of Green Bay heading up to Marquette, MI for a 0930 delivery tomorrow morning. I guess I'll be getting up around 0400 to make that run. Oh well, then I have a quick 210 mile trip that drops in Menasha tomorrow afternoon. Hmm,, I'm thinking shower at Appleton tomorrow evening. Since I'm thinking about a shower at Appleton tomorrow evening, I'm sure the planner will have me pickup after my delivery and the load will be so tight that I have to start running with it and I won't get to Appleton for my shower. Ahhh,, no expectations, no disappointment!

Sitting in bed. Getting ready to sleep. Zzzzz. Sorry I haven't posted this thread in a while, I feel a bit like an outsider now even though I started the thread. I pass Roehl trucks and I start to wave then I realize they'll just think I'm an idiot, so I don't. Ah well.

I do it all the time, I don't care if people think I'm crazy or an idiot. To tell the truth they're probably totally justified to think that about me. I just know when my current job really pisses me off I wear my Roehl shirts to work, and in winter my MPG jacket
