Vent wasn't open, or the lid fell shut while pumping the milk off, created a vacuum and poof no more trailer.

Get in there with a hammer and pound the dents out then bondo it to smooth it out. After that the rest should just buff out!!:biggrin_25525: Seriously what's a new SS trailer cost? Has the driver been there long? I feel bad for the guy.
That's a lot of pressure in those tanks when the vent or manhole isn't open. I knew a guy that got killed going up to open one after they started unloading it. It flew open and hit him in the head, dead instantly.

So true. I run about 57 mph and am getting just under 7.8 mpg for the last 2 months. I run 75mph when I need to, or use it to get up hills, but when possible, the cruise is set at 56-57mph

Checking in after 3 months and 2 weeks down at PGT. Still enjoying it. Being local, I don't know how OTR is first hand, but everyone I talk to is doing very well and like the company. Lots of freight moving recently and increasing. My home situation has changed recently, so I'm now looking very seriously at their lease/purchase program. I like being at home every night, but now/soon would be a perfect opportunity to attempt the l/p program and get back in a real truck. Everyone I've talked to that are/have done a lease though them have nothing bad to say about it either.

There are some little complaints, but definitely no deal breakers. Governed at 64mph. They have a speed monitoring program. If you go 3mph over the posted speed limit for longer than 9 seconds you get a speeding report sent in. more than 2 in 1000 miles and you lose your quarterly safety bonus. I run overweight and through country mountains all day and I still got my bonus, so while difficult, not impossible, and easier for highway drivers. They have let several drivers go for excessive speeding, but they were warned many times and didn't change their habits. Since Im local on a dedicated account, I'm in a daycab which for me is quite cramped, and it is also an automatic. The transmission is horrible. It's jarring in auto mode and has a mind of it's own in manual mode. There have been times the trans has been a potential safety hazard. Would very much like to be back in a manual.

Bottom line, I'm not working as hard as with roehl, I'm home every night and am regularly bringing home almost double my best check with Roehl. Very happy with my change. Would recommend them to anyone.

Just finished my last day today driving a sales desk.

Back in the saddle again on Monday. Going orange this time. I'm thinking 3 more years and then retire.

My good friend signed on with them after leaving Roehl and they screwed him pretty hard. One of the hardest working guys I know too. Maybe it was his domicile area by Philly, I don't know.
