Prostar climate control issues

I had one here at Crete for a few months. After the 5th failure in 8 weeks of the Aux. AC unit, I got out of it and into a Cascadia.

I will never have another auxiliary heating and AC unit of this type in a ProStar ever again. What a piece of garbage. I know we're talking heat here, not AC....but I'm not going through that crapola again.

 

In my 2012, the heater would light and run for a little bit and then shut down. I brought in to Marshfeild after several cold nights. The dealer replaced the whole heating unit. Apparently, there are issues with the heaters. Hum imagine that..

 

How many miles you have? Mine blows hot air like a champ but considering it has 42k miles. Probably run into this problem sooner or later update us when they figure it out. Probably go to the dealer after a while if they get stumped.

 

I am running into a cooling issue ac in the sleeper on my prostar worked great last night and bam corpus christi texas and sweating my ##### off tried everything any suggestions itd a 2013 prostar eagle plus

 

Did u get to work? if not what is it doing or not doing. The trk will idle if its hot enough out. Just throttle up to 800 while the idle shut off goes away. That may help to cool it down

 

I've since quit but my issue was the ac wasn't draining, it overflowed and leaked down and shorted out some wiring. Also blew a relay or fuse I don't remember which. You can take off the side skirt on the tractor, and make sure the tube/drain isn't clogged. Should be done once a week. If you see water on your door on the sleeper area or by the cabinet then it's clogged. The passenger side outside by the catwalk is a lever that you pull out towards the frame of the truck. This releases the skirt from the body of the truck. Then if you lift up and pull out the skirt will come free making the drain tube accessible to check or in clog. If it fried anything and it blows hot even at night when it's cooler then the terminal will have to fix it.

 

Inhave a 2013 prostar I have heater control problems too there is no mid temps at all just real cold or real hot and the blower runs at all times even when the knob is turned too off ??? I don'nt have a clue whats going on with it had it too serve 6 times came back the same way??

 

I have 2013 prostar my epu stopped blowing cold air any had this problem?
