I have had to jump through hooops to get clearance to go to orientation. First and foremost, let me say I am diabetic. I am type 2. I have not always been good at taking care of myself. When I went for my physical I got just a 3 month card because the doc wanted a hga1c which measures how well my diabetes is managed. Next I went to my PCP and got a diabetic checkup and gave the results to the doc who did the physical and now I have a 1 year card. So hear I am awaiting the clearance from safety to come to oreintation. I was supposed to be there this past monday. Just a side note, I have lost weight and I am eating better because I do not want my diabetes to get in the way of my driving.
Why it takes so long

Yea I know where it is, I used to load a lot out of Glens falls sca paper, gp in Plattsburgh, or international paper in Ticonderoga. you shouldnt have a problem getting home. They a very safety conscious company they just want to make sure youll be able to work before they invest money in you. They have a fairly strict physical so make sure your in pretty good shape.
