favorite would be a toss up between Kimber .45 or Springfield XD40. I love trap shooting as well. My 30-30 hasn't been in the woods much since I switched over to 30:06. for rifles and pistols I shoot in the "yard". for shotgun I have to go to the range.
Just picked up a Beretta A300 auto 12ga, can't wait to run a few rounds through it.

I enjoy my full size para ordinance 1911 most for pistols. $500 gun that's put 2500 rounds down range without a malfunction, can bust a clay at 25 yards, hit a 6 inch target at 50 yards, and a man sized silhouette 4 out of 8 rounds at 100 yards. My edc piece as well.

Rifles, Gotta love my savage 22lr. Bull barreled, thumbhole wood stock, bushnell 3x9-50 optic. hit a golfball all day at 100 yards.

But, probably the most fun is my hr pardner 18" 12 ga. Bust clays, water melons, pumpkins, whatever.

    Next purchase, this. http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/product/8-RAA-MK19BL
Not quite an AA12, but almost as good.

I normally shoot the Kel Tec PF9. I carry (never leave home without it) so I like to keep it well worked out.

I actually purchased it for my wife, ( heard a lot of complaints about them ) but after a few days of playing in the back yard I decided to make it my carry since its so small I can easily conceal it. Ive also but quite a few different brands down range with ZERO problems, so I guess I got one of the few good ones. Cheap ammo for daily fun no problems. Hornady critical defense for business.

If anyone is in the market for some nice rifles my buddy in Arizona is the O/O at KEArms.com Quality firearms for sure.

Fun reading...makes me want to pop some RDS. Ruger MK lll with 6 inch bull barrel is the fun because it is so cheap to

    Shoot.

They are all fun but I think my custom Mosin carbine and Mod 37 Ithica are tied for 1st. 208 grain boattails from a 19.5 inch barrel with sub MOA groups or 12ga 2.75" buckshot from a pump action with no trigger disconnect... Yep, its a tie. :)

Not a trucker yet and I realize I won't be able to carry when I become one. But for now I carry 24/7 because it is my right.

true, you can carry as a truck driver in the truck in the states you are allowed to cc in. However, you better stay out of New Jersey. Can't go to Canada. make sure you have two separate lockable boxes, one outside of the cab for states like NY and MD. Pick up the travelers guide to gun laws in the 50 states. Good book. Useful info.

Oh, And it's against Roehl policy to have firearms on company property, which includes inside the truck.

As much as it pains me, even though I can legally carry in 37 states and 40 (I think) I can leave it loaded in the car, while a company driver, you're better off just leaving it at home and keep a (non-spring assist, again... NY) knife on you and a hefty something or other in the truck. (I have a nice 18" breaker bar I'm planning on keeping handy) If it comes to the point that I go O/O so I can refuse to go to NJ and Canada, I'll have a gun rack on the back wall on the inside of the sleeper and my 1911 at my hip.
