5/5/14 WDTC Marshfield

you get used to it buddy. It's a little colder there then it is here, but most the time, I'm out in a hoodie. Might have a pair of work gloves on. May pull out my snowboard jacket if I'll be out for a while. this is in subzero temps as well. Most important thing is to block the wind and stay dry. Good luck out there buddy.

 

how'd your first couple days go WT?

As far as weather goes, Weather.com is telling me my first few days are gonna be mid 30s and mid 20s. That's a lot warmer than what I've been dealing with here for the last couple weeks. Earlier today I was outside cutting plywood for a room we are building at my current place of employment. 32*. Jeans, t-shirt, and quite comfortable. did put on a hoodie once the sun went down though.

Powerstroke. I've been the same way for the last couple weeks, but now I'm like, "****, I leave in less than 5 days."

 

Well. I'm just about all packed up and ready to go. Just need to load up my toiletries and a couple drinks to toss in the car. planning on being out the door by 8am for my full day's worth of driving to Marshfield. See yinz up there.

Mr. Taster. How has your first week been?

 

Thanks buddy. Just got here a couple minutes ago and bumped into winetaster in the parking lot. Hotel is fairly nice. It's clean, comfortable, and has a good bit of room. Can't complain so far. The trip wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. A pillow certainly helped with the racing seat. If the trucks are more comfortable than my car, I don't think I'll have any problem with this job.

 

Rofl! The front seats have air ride. The back seaks are just bolted to the bed pan!

 

It is indeed the Woodfield. I like it fine. Nothing special, but it is clean and spacious. Everything I require of a hotel room. The pool is nice. Bout 5 minutes from Roehl. Can't say anything bad about my entire experience so far.

Day 4 and have been on surface streets today and yesterday. This morning it was narrow county roads which were easy to contend with and quite enjoyable. And driving around the city, which took a ton of concentration. Still a good time and nothing has been screwed up royally yet. Each day we have spent about an hour working on backing. Going to hit it hard next week. As well as lots of city driving. If you're worried about pre/post trip tests. Don't be. You'll be saying "properly mounted, not damaged" in your sleep by day 4.
