Don't care what Gingersquatch says..... it is freaking freezing here. We did finally get some warm days that melted a lot of the snow. He stands around in a hoodie while I have long johns, long sleeve shirt, flannel shirt, flannel lined jeans, carhart cold weather bibs and a carhart cold weather jacket on. Plus, a fleece hat with facemask, the hood of the jacket, and gloves on. Don't believe him!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's all what you're used to. I will say though, since it's so incredibly flat out this way, the wind is brutally cold. If it has been windy out, I've left the hoodie off and moved to my light snowboard jacket (windproof). There was one morning that was about -2* out that I gave in and put both the jacket and hoodie on during pre-tripping and hookup. But, at the peak of some of these 40* sunny days we've had, I've been standing out in jeans/t-shirt.
I'm a cold weather person though. You'll see me dying when it gets to 80* and slingin' tarps. -
Ok... it was really freaking cold today. It can happen. Be prepared

Did your head lights come on?
Red dog cliff Thanks this. -
The truck was inside and the his on my car aren't bothered by cold, so yes. It wasn't actually thaaaat cold out. It was about 15*, but the wind was blowing hard which made it quite cold outside

wednesday of week two and the instructor finally took a step back and let us just, drive. The last couple days have been really annoying with him repeating all the same stuff over and over again and has been frustrating, which has thrown us both off, so it was a nice change of pace. We both did perfectly fine, might have missed a deer crossing sign or two, but we're both ready to pass the road test. Both me and the guy I started with are nailing our backs well within our limits nearly every time, and our pre trip was solid half way through last week. We are both confident that we will pass which really helps ease the nerves.
We both went from never driving a truck, to very comfortable controlling it and ready to pass the cdl test in 8 days behind the wheel. So far, I can say coming to this school has been an excellent decision. Will keep yinz posted on what's happening/what to expect when you show up in 2 months.Dragonfly619, Nighthawwk and Red dog cliff Thank this. -
Was just reading your post and it seems your doing great in such a short time and I wish you all the best ! Only hope I can do as well. Good luck.
