If you do 7/7 your going to run your full 70 hours, coming on the clock dispatch knows that you have plenty of hours and only a week before a reset. Youll easily make 500 on a bad week, depending on what CPM you start out at.

Yea this looks like a good schedule to work, it is offered in my area. Just have to decide if I am going to pay for CDL school myself or go to Roehl's school. I know Knight also does this schedule, I wonder which company is better and hauls more freight through here. I am in the southeast and seem to see more Knight than Roehl trucks.

Depends on specific southeast area. Roehl does have a Atlanta terminal. But into Florida is a crapshoot.

Schneider, Marten and a few others also offer 7 on 7 off. Or 14 on 7 off. More companies should do this.

I am about 100 miles south of Atlanta on the Alabama side.I too wish it was more common. The slip seating kind of stinks but as long as I am sharing with a decently clean driver I don't think I would mind.

Good luck man. I went through their training and it's good. Also, for the most part, pleasant people to work with.

I have been in the plastic industry for 14+ years, the push in the months of Dec-April isn't always companies stocking up for summer time (for most is slowest time of season), rather those are there busy times especially the horticultural & housing industries. They must get their products made for growers to have plants by spring & windows/doors made for the construction season (spring-summer). I was misplaced in 2008 from plastic work and became a stay at home dad for my 5 kids (wife landed a nice union job with Dominion), however its time to get back into the working field so I am laying down my factory roots and will be joining the ranks of you folks driving for a living provided I make it through the classes starting next week.

EV87 are you still with them? Good luck to you psychosis, wish I was going next week but still have a little less than a year before I do this. Still have it narrowed down to Roehl, Averitt, Knight, Schneider, or even Swift because they are close by. Also gotta decide on my own CDL training or company sponsored.

I would not consider knight or swift, big mistake IMO I've worked for Roehl for almost 6 months they've been a good company I'm always running and you start at .32(I believe) which I'm no longer making because of raises. Anyways good company I would highly suggest to stay away from swift or knight since the only thing I hear about those company's are bad. Good luck in your choice
