If you do flatbed there is a steel place and a lumber place that Roehl used to deliver to quite a bit off of 290. When ever I found a customer in Chicago or NYC that had decent over night parking I saved it as a favorite in my GPS. Even if you aren't delivering there you could probably park there in a pinch. I had pretty good luck parking at Home Depots and Menards as well.

Where exactly in the Chicagoland area are you trying to park? I'm a local driver and can help find you a safe place.
Redriderex and Dark Squall Thank this. -
Just trying to make a list in my GPS of the spots around Chicago. I have two by the CSXyard.

I just google the industrial areas I'm going to be close to on my pre trip. Use google maps to find a few areas. Then use street view for no parking signs and to get an idea of the layout. Never had a problem.
