    Just got a driver message.
Qualcomm and Drivertech navigation is getting turned on and optional parts being installed to support navigation.
Hope this is intuitive and not just another tether tracker.

Oh course, it is to track you. Because the GPS with my Qualcomm is pretty well worthless for finding at least half of my stops but it knows exactly which dead end street I am stuck on.

My last student just called me to tell me he passed his test, got his truck, and has the new navigation system. He likes it. Says he's not buying a GPS at all now.

That was another question I was wondering... Should I get a trucker GPS? Maybe not it seems...

I have found it to be about 50/50 it will get you to the city, you want, but I find it unreliable for at least half of the addresses I am trying to find. By that I mean it has tried to take me places trucks do not go. Also out here in California with the new road construction it will suddenly start telling you to turn around and get back on the highway you are already on. I suggest a road atlas or google maps. My suggestion you can use it, but do not trust it. I use my phone and laptop they give me much better information than the Qualcomm GPS we have, but my company can tell exactly where I am and how I am driving.

Yes definitely get a truck version. I like using mine to search for truck stops, eta's, and other points of interests. It's a tool, but not to be used on it's own. I compare to my company routing and always defer to that when there's a difference of opinion.

I don't ever plan on even hitting that icon. I've done fine without it.
