it's only an hour out, and while I'd love to drop the truck in the gravel lot across the street from my house so I can keep an eye on it, I don't know of a closer place then the drop yard I'd be comfortable enough to leave it with worrying about someone messing with it constantly. New castle isn't exactly the best area.

Makes sense. I have a parking let about A block from my house that I already have permission to park at but don't start my training until 4/28. Just wish it would hurry. Look forward to seeing you on the road. I am sure I will since we live kinda close.

When does your class start Big Will... I know Red dog and I are on the 5th of May. SO any suggestions on which way to head to Marshfield from Southern Michigan without paying a butt load of tolls??? It is ridiculous up thru Illinois...especially the Skybridge.

The key to making money trucking is drive. The more the better the money. I have know plenty of drivers that whine they don't make good money...of course they are doing this from their couch. Take your required breaks, but don't screw around at the truck stops, rest areas etc. Try to get your 11 hours driving in each day...ya got 14 to do it in. I've been around trucking enough to know if you are sitting you aren't making a dime.

Do that and you'll sit 2 days a week. Because you'll burn your 70 in 6 days.

Then I will learn from my trainer to right way to manage my time... glad you brought it up though. I always hated restarts but that was how my ex drove... I want to learn the right way :yes2557: But there were drivers who did complain all the time about running out of drive hours daily and we figured out they were stopping all the time to potty, eat, shop, whatever and ate all their time goofing off instead of driving. Maybe I should of been clearer on that. Then again I am going into school with the firm belief that I know NOTHING about trucking...only hearsay. And I've got an open mind and willingness to learn everything the right way instead of the Super Trucker way LOL
