So that's why I've seen trucks with it covered. Bet Roehl would fire you if they noticed it or if you had a fender bender with it disabled.

Bendix is another "bright idea " the computer nerds came up with to so called keep us safe but the reality is its a big lawsuit waiting to happen if you ever drive on ice be very careful cause if that thing activates in a patch of dry ice astalavista baby ! I personally never accepted driving with it and never will I simply told the company that issued this gatbage that I dont feel safe driving with it and they gave me a truck with out it!

My company has the Bendix electronic stability control on our new KW's and has nothing to do with the on guard crap. Just helps keep the truck from rolling over.

I would have to look it up, but I think it is just one more thing you can thank the Nimrods in Washington D.C. for putting on our trucks. In short companies can't take it off because it is federally mandated on new trucks. This is just another reason I would never buy a new truck. Dealing with EGR and DPF is bad enough.

Just started. You can't put your own inverter in unless it's one of those little 12V ones.

Be awfully careful about tampering with that stuff. Seriously, they'll term you for some of that stuff.

I got the Bendix thingamajig in 'my' truck.

First, if it activates when you're on ice, why are you following the vehicle in front of you so close or have the cruise control on that it'll activate when there is ice or a chance of ice?

Second, unless it is malfunctioning or out of calibration (aims to the left or right too much), slow down, put some distance between you and the car in front of you and that'll stop the beeping. My Bendix won't start beeping at you until you are 1.5 seconds behind the vehicle in front of you. There are three levels of beeps, a slow beep, a quicker double beep (like a heart monitor), and a quick rapid beep. What level of beep are you hearing? Then ask yourself, is 1.5 seconds a safe following distance?
