even as an O/O you cant put your own inverter in there? Did Jeff specifically tell you that?
I know that is true as a company driver, but I am shocked they wont let you put an inverter in the truck that you are paying for.
If true, I will just not ask if I can and put one in anyway and just ask forgiveness later if they ever question it.

Doesn't bother me anymore, for ice and snow conditions usually the sensor up front gets so much dirt snow ice on it, it'll stop reading. So jamming the brakes in those conditions for me at least using the system hasn't happened, but has crossed my mind. Also usually in those conditions I don't put myself in those type situations to where it would do so. On guard system is different and never used it, bendix at least on my truck doesn't read over passes, never has, or shadows or on coming traffic on a 2 lane road. What ifs on worse case scenarios are what ifs, could or couldn't happen. I always thought if you bought a truck out right it would be a option from a dealer that it's not up to the cronies in Washington to who has to have it on new trucks. But I could be wrong since I'm on the company side. I also thought to have this equipment installed on company trucks it's a insurance cut back. Now if you lease with a company like ours that runs bendix or on guard once truck is paid in full couldn't you get it off the truck? Why they won't til it's paid off is bc having to put it back on if you didn't follow through with paying it off. Hated the idea at 1st but really doesn't affect they way I drive. On cruise since mine is set at 63 instead of 61 I run cruise, usually a car or truck has to be doing under 68 for it to slow down automatically, if not it won't budge. And on coming up on slower traffic I can tell from a distance if they're doing 60 and just turn it off til I clear.

On guard is more sensitive, and reacts differently, I've had both systems. Both suck, on guard is worse in my opinion.

My truck has On Guard system and it sucks. You will be on cruise control with nobody around you and Bamm the brakes come on and spill your coffee. Pick your teeth out of the steering wheel etc. I think the system is more on the unsafe side.

I already had an inverter in here if you're referring to me. The problem is that stupid two hour timer they have installed in there. They won't remove it.

I've had both also. On guard is way, way worse.. Came up on a vehicle in the lane to my right the other day and the thing starts jamming on the brakes. It's not going to prevent an accident, it's going to cause one.

When mine is not reading my cruise control will not work either, so if I want CC, I need to let it sense. The slamming on the brake when it really is not necessary has been a big safety issue for me. The auto brake has almost caused me a collision. It is especially true in snowy and icy road conditions.

I wanna slap the #### out of law makers sometimes.

I don't care how safe you may think it is when it risks MY safety we got a problem. We are professionals there are casualties of our profession but if you cut infront of me and ice and snow I'm going to let off the throttle and sometimes use the jake. This bendix system throws the brakes on? Well I was comming across 40 between Nashville and Knoxville one day woman and her child came up next to me In a driving rain about the time she got the back of her car 5ft past my front bumper she hydroplaned and shot off to the right right in front of me. I let off the throttle and came very close to hitting her. I pulled over and they were fine but this system would have killed that woman and child, I WANT TO CONTROL MY TRUCK. I don't want to kill innocent people.

I have the Bendix on my 14 Prostar and besides being set to read the car in the lane next to me it has not done anything bad yet. It usually just beeps for a couple secs then goes away. The only time it brake it did it slowly until I hit the gas and it stopped. So from my point of view it is fine and don't care that it is on.
