    Hello Roehl Drivers,

Can any of you tell me what it takes to get into the specialized division pulling RGN or steps etc... starting out as a new driver? How long do you need to be with them? What experience?

    A. Drive in the flat division, it's just a dice roll if you'll be loaded with a flat or step, and can change with any given load.
    B. Tell your FM you are interested in pulling RGN.
    C. In a few mos or so, you'll be given a permitted load or 2. Remind your FM what you want to do.
    D. After several of those completed successfully, remind them again.
    E. It still may or may not ever happen.

I never did get an RGN in a yr of driving, but had 4 OD loads. This is advice that another Roehl driver that did get to pulling RGN told me.

    Good luck.

Removeable Goose Neck. Some call them lowboys. Made to haul heavy equipment such as a dozer.
