How many of my fellow door haulers out there have called a stop/consignee and they didn't have a clue the doors were ready and coming their way?
Ran into this problem again on this load. Luckily only sat for a few hours and customer service got it redirected.
Also, what's the most # of stops you had on one door load?
I had 13 stops plus consignee 2 weeks ago! Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina then into South Carolina.

No thanks... The door loads never interested me. Making so many stops... Unloading so many times on one load... Oh crap... what am I saying? I do that now locally....

Never had a problem with the consignee, but had several cases where the nice folks at Marshfield Door had loaded the trailer overweight, requiring a trip back there from the terminal to have them take some off. Was frustrating, as it costs time and money for the driver, for Roehl, and for Marshfield Door themselves.

I delivered doors to the new Hard Rock hotel job site in Orlando Fl. I called on Friday before I left and got directions. When I showed up on Monday they said that load wasn't supposed to be there for another month and didn't have room for the doors. I sat there for two and a half days while Roehl, Marshfield Door and the customer fought it out. Marshfield Door was kind enough to pay for a hotel room the second night. They finally brought in a container and put the doors inside of it.
