Hello all. I was wanting to get some advice. I just started at roehl and so far I have had a pretty good experience. Everyone here is great and really nice. I got decent miles my first week out so I was really happy about that. My question is how do you deal with them trying to get you home? I'm on the 11 to 14 on and 3 off fleet and I'm having trouble with them getting me home. I'm on my 16 day out and they are still having problems trying to get me a load back home. I know that sometimes things happen but I am really getting annoyed. Is this how it is gonna be where I can get stuck out this long? Anyone else have this problem? Thanks.

I take it you're on the national fleet? Did you tell them what day you needed to be home when you left out? Make sure you do that on the day you leave. If you don't they'll keep you out until you say something. And also remind them when the day is getting close. If you're 1000 miles away from home on a Sunday and you need to be home Wednesday they should be sending you that way. Don't let them send you in the opposite direction. Put your foot down. Don't let them push you around telling you that they can't get you home.

See that was what the problem was. After my 12th day they were sending me north 600 miles when I only had 12 hours to use for the next two days. Like I told them that it was gonna be a two day trip up there and then I still had to drive 1200 miles back home. They said they wanted me to take it 6 hours north then I would relay it. The relay never happened. So I got stuck taking the load all the way.

If they tell you that they'll have you relay it make sure they have someone to relay it to before you even move on it. That was just stupidity on their part to send you that far away when you were close to home. On the plus side if you are out for 18 days you'll get 4 days off now.
