Thank you i will . It seems as though flatbed hauling starts off paying better. Don't know the pros and cons of van versus flatbed hauling at this time?

As long as you don't mind working.
Getting a little dirty and throwing tarps and chains

Flatbed is a great career. As far as I know, Roehl is an OK company; haven't seen any negative comments on here.

I surely don't mind working and getting dirty. I have been an automotive tech for 22 years.

Flatbed is fine. You won't load or unload the trailers, the shippers and receivers do that. You just secure the load after it's loaded and take off the chains/tarps, etc. before the receiver unloads. You learn all about that during orientation at the company you choose.

You might give TMC a look also. Melton has a pet policy for animals 50 lbs and lower. The physical test flatbed companies give you will either involve picking up a 89 lbs tarp and putting it on trailer, or lifting some other weight and taking it from point a to point b. I'd get into heavy hauling if I were you though. You'll only drive during the day, and you won't have to tarp as much as you would doing regular flatbed.
