Phase One is a week long and takes place in yard and surrounding streets.
Phase Two is 10 to 14 days out on the road with a trainer, which adds up to 21 days, roughly.
That's for drivers who already have their CDLs.
The pay is $600 for the first week, Phase One, of which $300 is paid on the Thursday of the second week, then the second $300 is paid on the Thursday of the following week. This is apparently to keep people from bugging out with the entire $600 bucks or to keep them from being able to pay their bills or something. -

I plan on driving with Roehl's regional dry van fleet in Texas. The nearest terminal from where I live is about a two hour drive. Do you know if I have to live a certain distance from the terminal?

About 50 MI will get them to send you home in truck.
Near the region I believe.JRD85 Thanks this. -
I've been with Roehl for over 3 years and I had to sign a similar contract when I did my training. I think I had to drive for 110-120,000 paid miles and then they would forgive the debt for my training. If I had quit before that, I would have had to pay some or all of the money back.
For the most part, Roehl is a good company. Just don't expect to get rich driving for them. My gross income before taxes is only about $3,000/month.
