It means you are eligible for rehire but they would need to go over how your employment background was with them.Like your overall performance, any violations, tickets that sort of thing.

Flawless. I even remembered my DVIR every night without having to be reminded!!! The only thing they could be upset about as far as performance went was my mpgs always seemed to be right on, and then like the last day of the period, suddenly i'd be off enough to not get a bonus. I feel like someone was ##### with me on that one. they'd want 7.1avg, and for weeks i'd do 7.9, and then id get the 'lets review your stuff, oh well your mpg avg was 5.5' like no. liar!!! =P

I think you have nothing to worry about because its not every driver that quits that get review upon rehiring. But that other mark on your DAC could be alarming with other carriers though. So I would keep on calling Roehl until your fingers can't dial anylonger.

Also I wouldn't go as far as saying you're an idiot. No normal sane person wants to drive for free.I would start getting a copy of BOL'S for your personal records. Some customers would make a copy for you.

Dreaming of going back to Roehl is like dreaming your high school sweetheart will look the same at the 50th yr. class reunion. As the saying goes in Alabama, "Let sleeping dogs lie."

heres a tip for the OP, go to walmart buy a 3 in one printer copier scanner, for 40 bucks, get 300 watt cig lighter inverter and make your own copies of things. never let yourself get screwed by being complacent.

No, not all of them. I'm pretty familiar with many though & know drivers with some of the tanker outfits. I know several drivers with Cardinal Logistics and they all are making good money. I was driving for YRC when Cardinal took over the contract; I agreed to drive for Cardinal during the transition phase and after a couple months moved on to tankers. I always had a backup plan for myself and tried to stay familiar with different companies so I could make a quick move if needed & it worked; I've never been unemployed. Like you, I've been around awhile. I knew Wayne Wise, the man that owned Western Express and worked for him when he owned another flatbed company, XpressCo. Really liked the man too; he's passed away now.

I would contact Rohel and let them know of the misunderstanding and why it was a misunderstanding. Driver's want to get paid. You might should have handled it differently, but I don't blame you for how you felt. I have been there and done that. If it says review before rehire then they will look at your case file and make a determination based on your previous performance " USUALLY" however, not "ALWAYS" the case. If that is where you want to be then I would at least make contact and see if you can possibly mend bridges. Worst possible answer is "NO". So what do you really have to lose??? Next time stop and make a copy of the bill so that you CYA....always the first rule in trucking..CYA or " Cover your hiney" because the reason you didn't get paid was because the shipper did not do what they said and the company had no proof of delivery which also means they might not have gotten paid. You cannot get paid if they don't get paid. Most brokers and customers also require a copy of that signed bill....always make sure you get a copy. Just a little free advice from a person who has been both in the drivers seat and in the dispatch chair.

Let me get this straight...You are wanting to get on with a company that never got you home on time, lied about too much freight to get you home on time or stay there your full home time, lied about your fuel mileage so they could cheat you out of your fuel bonus, the office treated you badly, they fired you, but you really want to go back there.

Think hard about what I wrote above.
