    LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!

I am an absolute IDIOT. I don't quite know how to say it other than that. Now, here's the skinny.....

Drove for Roehl. Drove OTR flats out of Phoenix. Dream job. LOVED IT. Never did a Blythe run!(which probably makes me the only driver to ever leave that Phoenix yard and not take one out there.) Had issues with FM, but kept my nose to the ground and ran like a marathon runner for the company. No accidents. No CSA bs points against me. No tickets. Never late. I did break down once outside of Oshkosh Defense because Prostar. :) Just did my job, and did it #### well.

So you're thinking, "Well how the heck is this guy an idiot?"

    Now, the fat....

I'd requested home time for my fiance's birthday.(not a huge life event, but she does have cancerous tumors, so every birthday is a holiday) I put in request two months ahead of time, reminded my FM to try and get my back east. Stayed out west until about a week and a half before. Got a run from Alcoa in Chandlerish, Az to Alcoa Massena, NY. So i ran like hell. Got there early, fought the snow, but i whooped it! I got a run to Erie, and then down south to home base for my home time. got there on time. satisfied because this is the first time my FM got me hometime anywhere close to when i wanted to. Usually she just told me i couldn't go home because she had too much freight to get run.

While i'm home i'm supposed to get paid for the trip to Massena. Got a 300$ check for that run. So i'm kinda upset now. They owed my atleast another 5-600$ or so, call FM she said my BOL was lost and that they (wouldn't/couldn't) pay me until it was resolved. (i didn't have BOL, Alcoa kept the 1 copy, and said they'd fax Roehl.) Told them I needed the money and that that's bull hawk. FM said "how do we even know you delivered the load?" Made me more mad. Told her i wouldn't move the truck til they paid me. They said better or else. I said No! Not nice! I'm not working for free, need money for bills/life on road. FM said IDGAF. Said still not moving truck til i get paid. They came and got the truck and i was, as my DAC report states, "No Show, Unauthorized location -W/O Notice" (My FM was fired i guess about a month later. She stepped on too many toes from what they told me)

Got a job local, driving tri-axle dumps. Sad. I miss my prostar. Miss being OTR. REALLY loved my job with Roehl. I'd sell my soul to Satan, or Jesus, or Apollo, or anyone to get back on at Roehl.

That's how I'm an idiot. If you even stayed to read it all. Sorry it was long winded, i know i said the skinny and it wasn't that short. Did my best. What are my options with Roehl? I did notice on my DAC report, it said "Review required before rehire." Does anyone know what that means for Roehl? Do i have a chance again? Call me a fanboy or stupid or whatever you must, but when i got my class A, Roehl was my dream job, and it still is.

Any advice, other than telling me what an idiot i am?

Much love for those who read all through the post, and thanks in advance for any advice!

Southern Ag Carriers in Albany, GA would be a good place to think about. Check the website and study the company. That company has several good types of driving; dry van, flatbed, liquid tanker, dry bulk tanker, etc.

Move on with your life; lots of good companies to choose from.

You can fight things that are put on your DAC report. In light of the fact that this person was fired , you can allege misconduct on their part. It might cost you some money and some time but it is worth it. The description they put on your DAC seems factually inaccurate because they did give you permission to be there and you DID give them notice. Fight it

I just really wanna get back on the road ASAP. Those bills will be coming up quickly, and to be honest this happened almost two years ago. If i could go back to Roehl, I'd like to. I'm still pretty green to trucking. Haven't gone to a bunch of different carriers, so I'd need some guidance. I know about how to fight the DAC. <----such a dirty word. I just don't feel like anyone would listen. Like David vs Goliath.

You should get on with a company that doesn't use DAC.

Forget Roehl; that's in the past.
You can make $65K at A&R Transport in Decatur, AL. Don't need any endorsements to work there.

    Decker Truck Line
    Keim TS
    Halvor Lines
Transport National - good one to check out.

I live in Athens, AL so not but fifteen minutes to Decatur. I'm gonna go check them out. I always enjoyed Decker trucks, that ketchup/mustard thing they got going. :)

While you're down there in Decatur, check out Tidewater Transit.

I love those guys at TWT. I spoke with them already, and i don't have enough experience yet. They are some awesome people. Thus far Decker is looking the most promising. Wish some of these websites had more info on them...

Tidewater started hiring new CDL grads now. I agree, Decker looks real good.
