I know this is a piddly question but I have a trial of Sirius XM and think I'd like to use it when I'm on the road. The equipment video for Roehl says all trucks support it but I wonder how that works if you swap out of trucks (like 7-7 or 14-7 fleets). Any of you know how that works? At $20/month I can't imagine Sirius would be down with someone calling in every other week to get a different radio on the account and remove one.

not positive how that would work; but I bought a new radio to replace a broken one and they charged me (I believe) a $20 fee to change it over.

If you're swapping trucks a lot they (SXM) won't like that and will eventually charge you to keep switching it.

Buy you own receiver, use the aux in port on the radio(most have them now).

If no aux is availablr, there is and adapter which plugs inline with the radio antennae and it works very well.

Thanks for the feedback. Wasn't sure how drivers who swap trucks manage it if the truck comes with a SiriusXM radio. Seems like people are saying to treat it like a regular radio and bring your own portable SiriusXM device.

I was thinking it might be that way but didn't know if they had a way to adapt to their truck driving customers.

Get a radio you can move between trucks. As mentioned above, they ding you to the tune of $15-$20 every time you change radio ID's. And if you don't have an AUX port you can tune it in on a empty FM radio channel. That's far from perfect but it's better than nothing.

I will check to see if we can get a deal from Sirius XM for our drivers.

If u are new to Sirius xm , when u call to subscribe ask for the six month truck driver package, I believe about $50 for 6 months...

Also cascadia is a ###### for anntenae placement..I have mine yard to the top of passenger side mirror. If yur on the road a lot its well worth the cost, I now just pay by the year.
