You'll probably come to Marshfield when the time comes.
Good luck with all that man. Its like a 5 week course I think (at least is what I thought I heard today) and they get you rolling. You will have to drive for Roehl for a year to repay, but that is not even bad.
My personal Roehl experience!

Just got back to the hotel about an hour ago.
Today was pretty fun.
Simulator, pre-trip, driving around the yard and practicing their "progressive shifting" technique.
A bit cold outside, but all in all a good day.
Tomorrow will be -45° windshield sensation.
So far i've learned that Roehl does respect their employees and is very serious about responsabilities.
Nothing negative si far.
I will keep updating.
If any questions, fire away!!Dominick253, Michelle Trull and Puppage Thank this. -
It's great you are keeping a journal of sorts, I've talked to other drivers and read lots of reviews on Roehl, they seem to be a great asset to the drivers that actually work (if you catch my drift) and a huge majority of drivers maintain loyalty..... I could be in WI in as little as three weeks..... Went to get DOT physical today and now have medical card completed.... Kim (from Roehl) said that I have been accepted to start classes so far and when the med information passes to her, they will allow me time for a two week notice to the place I am working now. She even said I could drive myself to WI (it's only an 8 hour drive for me) and after classes, I can drive myself home, be assigned a tractor then take off from the local terminal. If the commitment to a potential driver is an indication of how Roehl is with the payroll's drivers, Loyalty will NOT be an issue for me! A year contract is a Small price to pay for a branch used to save a drowning family! Thanks for all the updates and I'd love to hear more about the simulator!Dominick253, Jrivas23, Scott72 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Keep it coming Rivas!!
Please tell me about the "progressive shifting" technique? Only way I know how to shift is double clutching as it was the only option we had in order to pass the Illinois state test.
Thanks!! -
BTW -45 is a warm spring day here. LOL my furnace went out Sun night and couldn't get it back online until tues afternoon. we almost had to put on slippers for that little chill. LOL
good luck with the classes. be interested to read more, especially as you progress through the driving phases and become a regular employee.Michelle Trull and Jrivas23 Thank this. -
Leave for Marsfield on Saturday, to start class Monday the 12th
Jrivas23 Thanks this. -
Thanks for posting this. I've been looking into Roehl.

Sorry for not updating the last couple of days, guys.
It has been a great experience so far. We have been doing lots of driving around town and around the yard the last couple of days.
I was just told today that (unless I #### up tomorrow, lol) they will hire me Monday morning.
Mapping, pretrips, pre-planning and going over the "Roehl's safe seven) its what we spent the days doing pretty much.
Today took a quiz on a short video regarding haz-mat. Nothing complicated at all.
Tomorrow will be going through Roehl's employee portal and qualcomm.
Monday will start Phase 2. Hopefuly meeting my trainer monday evening or tuesday and away we'll go!! -
It is really easy since you learn it, you practice it in the simulator first and then on the actual truck.
Its very smooth shifting and it takes the "rocking the truck" away while shifting.
Roehl its a good company for what I have noticed so far. -
