Tuesday my trainer was hauling to a consignee near the terminal and had ran out of hours to pick me up. I met him that night and slept at the terminal.
We left Marshfield, WI to Norcross, GA around 5 AM. Took our break at a TA in IL. Took off around 4 AM this morning and made it to the consignee around 3 today. Traffic, Acccidents and a nice mountain pass on I24 made the day a lot more active than I thiught it was gonna.
We'll leave around 5 from Ellenwood, GA to Norfolk, NE.
Putting some decent miles a day for being a greenhorn. Will update a little later. A little sleepy right now =)

Alright, time for an update (long overdue)...
I did my 1 week orientation up in Marshfield, WI from Jan 5th to Jan 12th (official hire date was monday the 12th)
My trainer and I met at the terminal the night of jan 13th and started rolling around 4AM next day.
Our first trip took us to Atlanta, GA which was really cool because i had never been. Next trip brought us to Nebraska. From there we took a load to Indianapolis and that was the last load I had with my trainer.
All in all I spent around 8 days on my trainer's truck. Probably the best part is that he was an owner-op and gave me great insights of the industry and the company.
The company has not yet let me down on any of the things i was told, BUT, (there's always one) one thing I did not like is that the $600 sign on they give they split it into two payments.
Other than that they have kept me running non-stop and have brought me home weekly (both weekends) the two weeks i've been with my truck.
This week I had a load cancel on me in Dunkirk, NY and my FM called me telling me it may take a while to get another load, 10 mins later I had another load assignment.
So far no complaints!
