Rocks after seeing what you wrote about her I know exactly how you feel..The only difference is that I did say something the first day with her (hadnt even left the drop yard)and still got fired. But now I realize that it wasnt at all my fault. Im not an agrumentive person and I definitely didnt do any cussing around them. So everything she said was about herself...I guess she had to find someway to get rid of the threat she saw in me and for now she thinks that she has succeeded. This is not the end but only the beginning.........

I think at least two of you ladies need to get on the phone with someone at Roehl and describe the problems you each encountered. You've never met and have no reason to collaborate... Just make the call!

After hearing this woman told a student(or whoever) to sleep ONLY on the top bunk at all times... Hey now.. My interpretation of the FMCSR is a sleeper bunk may not be more than 24" off the floor. The top rack, therefore, is clearly for use only when the truck is parked.

I agree that either one or both of these ladies should call ROEHL and report their experiences with this particular trainer.

They need to either talk directly to Roger Zophie or to Ray Gabriel. Unfortunately, if they are dealing at lower levels, then probably Roger or Ray don't know the complete story other than "some students had a problem with a trainer but it's been straightened out now."

These two individuals in management at least understand that ROEHL needs the driver a lot more than they need support staff who try to keep everything at the lowest level....

Hint - When dealing with any mangement, always work the chain of command, but don't allow the mid-levels to put you off or dictate the schedule for resolution. You dictate when you want an answer or you are going to go to the next level... As always, make sure you have your ducks in a row and DO NOT LOSE YOUR TEMPER!!!

Good luck!!

So, have either of you two, or maybe someone else it happened to, made that call yet? Someone sure needs to so the company can either stop her from training, or at least get her properly trained.

Rocks, how did you get your termination reversed to a resignation?

And firecracker24, how are you planning to fight this?

Unka_D, you sound like you know this industry and company well, any advice?

My husband lost his opportunity at Roehl also -- the only place he planned to go, even while he was still in school. (I posted the circumstances under Motor Carrier Questions > Need some help -- the first under BKG, my husband's login and the update under this/my new login).

We are not doing well about this -- we kind of had everything riding on Roehl, which we know now was not smart on our part. He didn't even apply at any of the companies that recruited at his school; he applied online to Roehl the night he graduated. Now we have we a huge mess because of this termination. He's pretty much ready to hang it up for good -- that's how bad his experience with this trainer was -- and how bad he wanted Roehl.

I don't want to specifically mention the name of the trainer my husband had, but his name is the same as a famous actor -- you'd for sure know who I am talking about. Anyone else here had problems with him?

The main concern is the termination on his record. Actually, i think if it could be worked out, he'd still go back to Roehl. Any help, advice, input would be appreciated. Thanks, Theresa
