Hello everyone, im a recent student graduate and my orientation date for Schneider national is oct 21st. I JUST found out that they have a physical fitness test that involves testing for blood pressure...i had my DOT physical and was certified for 1 year because my blood pressure is 152/93 Im supposed to leave tomorrow to drive to Indianapolis Indianna, but if im gonna drive all the way there and automatic ally fail the physical test because of my BP i might as well save myself the time money and wear and tear on my car and stay home and forget about it...what are my chances of actually passing? im 5ft 11 310lbs. I was so excited up until now and now all i can think is after all my hard work getting my CDL a Fitness/Blood Pressure test is gonna fail me and leave me without work stuck with 5 grand in student loans...Nobody told us anything about physical fitness tests to get hired..

You need to get your BP under control before you think about driving. Go see a doctor get some meds, get checked out, then worry about the test, that is more important that driving. The BP is not going away till you lose a 100 lbs or more, I am not a doctor but I did just drive by a Holiday inn express!!!

Congratulations Tombstone, now try to lose that weight. It along with meds can get you BP under control.
Then you can get a 2yr card, and have an even heavier weight lifted from your shoulders.
