I'm at the Dallas OC now. It is the only one I have been to and hopefully it will stay that way. I am usually here 2 times a week. Sometimes more, sometimes less. I drive the Masonite account here....sweet deal. If yall live in the Dallas area and looking for a change, ask about Masonite..

My favorite OCs are Carlisle, Charlotte, Indy, and West Memphis. These are what EVERY OC should be like; as a minimum.

Drivers need an oasis from time to time; a place to Hang their hat so to speak. When I pull into an OC the LAST thing I want to do is get out of the truck and suck down a face full of dust or drag five pounds of mud into my "Working RV."

Charlotte is dusty, but it is Charlotte; I just like the area so I am a little forgiving. I still would like to see a CONCRETE LOT (I'll go ahead and hold my breath) there.

Indy has most things a driver wants and needs, plus is close enough to walk to Bob Evans and other food stops if you decide not to eat at the OC. I wish their wash was a drive through so I did not have to drop my trailer to wash the truck. I like the staff and trainers there; good experiences there.

Carlisle is nice and has everything a driver could ask for. Friendly, helpful staff. A couple of express service guys need an attitude adjustment because they are not personable, seem annoyed by drivers that ask questions, and act as if the drivers are an interruption in their day. Even have seen an IC refuse to allow one of them to service his trailer because he stated he "Did not trust" the service tech after rude treatment. I myself have been on the receiving end of poor treatment by a couple there. The rest of the staff were always helpful and friendly.

Worst OCs, due to lots and facilities, that I have been to Obetz (Columbus, Ohio) and Gary.

Obetz was a serious mud hole. Trucks got stuck almost daily. Over half the drop lot was dirt / mud. They talked about gravel, but I have not been in the yard since middle of July. Odd shape of yard causes confusion with drivers who are not in the yard regularly; they can never figure out where they should drop a trailer or find an empty. Which means when YOU go to look for an empty, you have to look at every trailer on the lot because loaded, dedicated, red tag, and empties are all mixed together; waste a lot of time; hour spent to not find a good empty = P!$$@D. Drivers facilities consist of a muddy work room with a TV, ice machine, two rest rooms, and a couple vending machines. NO FUEL, NO WASH. Obetz has a great office staff and a shop that is wrenching to please; 2 thumbs up. It is unfortunate those folks have to work in such a dump.

Gary has great facilities and large truck and trailer shops, plenty of fuel lanes, drive through truck and trailer wash, express service shop, workout facility, large TV room, clean showers, nice size drivers store. HOWEVER, the lot is an absolute mess... dirty, dusty, muddy, and pot holes that will swallow a truck. The location is... well in Gary, IN... I hate that entire ugly, nasty, and dirty region. The staff are top notch.

Seville Ohio, near Cleveland / Akron area, looks like it was a nice OC at one time; just a drop yard now. BIG lot.

Well my favorite i guess would be Fontana, However i haven't been there in 3 years so i can't speak from recent experience. But back then the food was great and always fresh. When it rained though the OC would flood. The staff were always friendly and had some good looking female's to boot. I like West Memphis and believe it or not i like laredo and the Maintenance there.

Well, I like Charlotte, especially since I'm now running out of Charlotte. Carlisle is good. Edwardsville, eh, not so great. Ran out of those, too. Indy is fine. Atlanta is o-k. I think because of a terrible relay once, I hate Dallas. West Memphis, eh, not so great. Never been to Gary! Guelph is like a small, deserted Carlisle... eh?

So, I finished experienced driver orientation today (was gone longer than 6 mo.) and now I and another driver are getting our trucks. Mine's a 36xxx glider, his is a 43xxx. Ok. Now get this. The rental car is in my driveway; I'm picking him up from Columbia, SC tomorrow morning, and we're going to get my truck in ........ Swedesboro, NJ. Oh, yes. We will make it on our logs. But then, he has to go to Scarborough, ME to get his. Joking? Hardly. I guess they knew I could tell him the better ways to get thru N. Jersey and the City area, or something. WTF man. But, they're paying us, and we've got no choice. We got a Kia Soul for the cargo room. LMAO.

Didn't mean to jump in on this thread blindly with my little story, but I had to share...
